Besides it, I think presently Afghan society is too fragmented to unify and put up resistance.
That also. I definitely agree.

all these things u mentioned could happen any where .....recently in islamabad an elite class murderer Zahid jafar beheaded her girlfriend and caught on the spot and now is in jail for brutally murdering her and she also belonged to elite class who were american national holders ....why to single out only them when u are entirely facing such things in the world under democracy
this is the story of an elite class a US nationality holder and not of any evils like talibans
Karma is a b****. Remember that, please. I hope the Taliban somehow crashes and dies. But if it doesn't, the first place to be affected will be Pakistan.
lol i dont entirely support taliban too but they will be better choice instead of what afghanistan was going throgh past 20 years under US military
and for people making nonsense argument of taliban raping woman and blah blah its all utter nonsense....
listen to this british lady journalist who were at the hand of taliban describing her struggle and life their and how taliban treated her with respect
Yvonne Ridley
She said in her book, In the Hands of the Taliban, that, while she was in captivity, she was treated with respect by the men of the Taliban and was, subsequently, amazed by their courtesy. All men that she came in contact with lowered their gazes (to her), which left her bewildered. She had initially thought they had already decided to have her executed and therefore could not look her in the eyes. Only later did she discover they were showing her a sign of respect. While in captivity she gave an undertaking to read the Qur'an and study Islam if they let her go. Fulfilling the promise and setting out on what she described as "an academic exercise" she said she was shocked to discover "the Quran makes it clear that women are equal in spirituality, worth, and education. What everyone forgets is that Islam is perfect; people are not."[17]
She converted to Islam in the middle of 2003, claiming that her new faith has helped put behind her broken marriages and embrace "the biggest and the best family in the world

According to mythology, Goddess Kali stretched out her tongue and caught each drop of the blood that was spilled, thus not letting a single drop of it fall to the earth.
Here we have the monster, but not the one who is ready to finish it to the last drop of blood.
By the cosmic rules, there has to be a power of good that will finally vanquish the monster. There has to be, you know, I believe in it . But when will she appear I don't know.

I'm at work but have not been able to concentrate at all.
I called my uncle this morning and he was trying to stay strong but you can hear the panic in his voice. He only cares about his young teenage son and doesn't care if he dies. That literally broke me.
To the I-F folks, please know that your comments and prayers are enough. Please don't let this thread close. It is bringing me comfort to know that there are people who care.
Yep, I am trying my level best to not comment on any posts which will make this thread close and get me multiple warning levels or whatever they are called.
Our Prayers are with you’ll but we wish we could do more than praying. :(

So basically, if she converted to Islam, she was free to go. You think this was somehow noble of them? Dear God! What about the women who want to study regular things and not Quran who are maimed and killed? What about the legally sanctioned rapes? What about the killing of gay men? What about the drug trafficking?
And you seriously think the Afghans would prefer THIS over U.S. presence?
Not responding any more. Hope and pray this mindset is not widespread.

By now I know I should not be responding. But this is my last reply.
Ever heard of Stockholm syndrome?
And tell me if one half-assed attempt at PR is enough to whitewash numerous, countless incidents of cruelty and injustice?

as much as i came across of recent scenario yesterday i have read or perhaps heard the news talibans given permission for woman to study or to do jobs this time ,,,,dont know how much of this is true
and yes i not only think but have strong sense that Afghans will prefer taliban over US regime ,,,, because 100,000 butchered during US invasion in afghanistan .... Afghanistan witnessed highest death toll under US invasion and no country could survive in invasion alike situation, and if u invade a country u will have to face a backlash
Hoping that this Taliban also meets the end ISIS did, but there's no resistance (at least organised one) left in Afghanistan. Without leadership, it will amount to nothing.
Hazaras are probably going to meet the same fate as the yazidis.
The handful of non-islamic minorities left there will obviously be butchered.
Can hardly see any women (handful at most) in the clippings we see of the airport so you know where women security lies in the priority list.
I read about this organisation Afghan cricketer Rashid Khan is supporting. Hope the donated money actually helps the civilians instead of landing in the wrong hands.
We can only pray for all this to pass with as little destruction as possible. Rest all is lip service.
PS - Never thought I'll find Taliban supporters on this forum, twitter is supposed to be vile but even on IF....ugh
