As much as I wanted personally to see a SMP-VD he took the right decision to stay away from this show. I have huge respect for him for speaking his mind. I don't want him to stoop as low as current judges with their biases. So iam ok with him not being there now.

For me SMP's journey in Indian Idol represents giving power for girls to break barriers in limitations on what a girl can do in Indian music context, especially at this stage...

Where we have acceptance for male voices with experimentation, not so much for female voice.

I hope many girls take inspiration from this and not hesitate to experiment with their voices and bring their individuality to their music. And hopefully when such girls come up in the future, they would not be judged as harshly..

Nope. As usual SMP's will be the last. I have no doubt II12 team is scared of promoting SMP.

There are many repeats in finale.

PD performing again on Teri mitti. I also heard Him Dil De chuke sanam..

I only hope SMP gets some good new songs too..

Vishal eventhough not a judge still remain unbiased with his favorite of II12 winner. I wish he had been there, SMP would have got some support from judges unlike now. By the way what he said in the interview is right all the contestants are taking their first step now even though nation is in love with them.
