DaffodilsNew, when I watched the over-spiced mahāthālī scene, I honestly didn't like it because I could not suspend disbelief as Raghav kept smiling after the first mouthful and didn't even ask for water. Will power is not going to prevent teary eyes, a runny nose, or a gag reflex in any regular person, and if Raghav had an allergy, I would expect his face to drain of blood, his lips to itch, and lymph nodes to swell in his armpits within a few minutes. It seemed out-of-character for Pallavi to go on torturing him and wondering if he felt anything. The writers could have had her say enough and still had all of the crisis, guilt, home remedy, and intimacy afterwards.
However, as it is your favourite scene, I invite you to read "Antarāya-timir'opaśāntaye - a Fan Fiction" by me. (I am a Newbie, so I am not allowed to post hyperlinks, but you can find it through my profile.) In this story, I had Raghav and Pallavi, much further along in their relationship, recall how the mahāthālī incident changed their opinions of each other.
meghumonu, since you enjoyed the Bharatanatyam scene so much, perhaps you would like my story "Delivery Boy - a Fan Fiction" in which Luṅgīvālā Raghav does some Bharatanatyam.
One scene that I remember as well-executed was after Raghav had tortured Pallavi for several hours with the low temperature in his living room. Raghav's body language after Pallavi's blouse sleeve ripped communicated the struggle in his soul - with Jaya in critical condition, he wanted to be as cruel as possible to Pallavi, threatening her life the day before and her livelihood and health today, but even a hint of violating her decency made him feel uncomfortable. So, as he met her to make her grovel and run some more, he took off his jacket and put it on her shoulders. And Pallavi, physically and mentally traumatized as she was, reflexively handed him a handkerchief when he coughed. I thought that perfectly encapsulated Pallavi's character - her humanity in the most inhumane circumstances.
