I'd shared this song earlier but doing so again!

He does an impromptu rendition of 'Three Blind Mice' all of a sudden! I mean even the Music Directors must just be letting him loose to do whatever he wanted. How is it possible to script his acting madness? Or plan his improvs in singing??

I love all the songs from CKNG but Main Sitaron ka is my absolute favorite, followed by Ek ladki bheegi bhaagi si. I love the choreography in it. So clever!

Ek chatur naar gets my goat mainly because of Mehmood and his stereotypical South Indian mannerisms. But Kishoreda is great in it! And so is Mannada! This movie was pretty OTT too thanks to Mehmood's overacting mainly, Kishoreda's natak company with his Bangdu's being the best part of it for me!! 😆

Did you guys know 'Ek Chatur Naar' was also one of Dada Moni's songs? 😆

I just cannot stop laughing my head off watching this song and movie. Mehmood somehow doesn’t distract me at all from enjoying this madcap laughing riot. 😆 ALL the songs were a laughing riot but even the scenes, the ones where he tries to teach Sunil how to sing and asks him to sing from neeche and Sunil gets down to the floor and sings from there. 🤣

@Bold: Yep. I heard about that 😆. And so true, only KK could carry it off. Even all that yodeling that he did in his songs, it only suited him.

I will take CKNG, or even Half-ticket (which was an entirely insane level of KK madness 🤣) over Padosan any day. 😳

I know what you mean. I am a south Indian too. Mehmood somehow does this act in every second movie of his. :/

KK only did playback for Dev Anand in the 50s and upto the late 60s. I wonder why? Maybe because Rafi was very much around and popular? Or maybe because Navketan always worked with SDB who in turn used KK a lot.

Whatever the reason, I love this song from Funtoosh. I think once when Amit Kumar was asked which of his dad's songs he liked the most, he'd picked this one. There's so much pathos in KK's voice and the tune by SDB is just sooo soulful! ❤️ And of course, Sahir's lyrics are just heartbreaking...

O nigahein mastana - omg I love this song so much! Dev and Nutan are lovely together and I love the humming that Asha does. Something so magically Romantic about this tune!
And of course Main sitaron ka tarana is one of my all-time favourites! I love all the namoona songs KK does 🤣and Madhubala’s expressions are just amazing!

Plus ye raatein ye mausam! Wow!

I know Kishoreda is more applauded and remembered for his later tracks sung for RDB and Rajesh Khanna but I love his 50s and 60s songs. He only sang playback for Dev Anand in this days, and also for himself of course! He had this madcap irreverential way of singing that no one can emulate!

Listen to this one by him and Rafi! Soooo good!

OMG! Hadn't heard this one before. They are complementing each other so effortlessly and beautifully. Had I not known beforehand that it is sung by both of them, it would have been difficult to differentiate between their voices at some places. This is not something that is Rafi's usual style, still he has fit into it so well.

I remember there was one song where Rafi had done playback singing for Kishore da, but not able to recall the song.

I too love Kishore's 50s and 60s songs, in fact more. All those madcaps from his own roles, to the solo and duet SD Burman tracks he sung for Dev, what a wide range in the limited scope that he got!
