Re: The Zoya Factor, I read the novel first, years ago, so when they announced Red Chillies had bought the rights I was excited, but then nothing happened for years. Then randomly one day I saw Sonam was going to headline and honestly my heart sank a bit. That said, it's not a horrible movie...she's a bit cringy (but so was Zoya in the novel) and Dulquer Salman as Nikhil is I might do a re-watch again as well.

LOL KJo's in love with anyone who'll have him, and also those who won't 🤣 but I don't blame him re: Fawad. I think all of that backlash (while I guess understandable) shouldn't have played out the way it did. Fawad was a fresh face in B-wood, and was just getting started. He was excellent in Kapoor and Sons as well. Shame it all went away so quickly.

Also even if this turns out to be some plan to get revenge on his ex lover it cannot be redeemed at all. It’s disgusting. Him and kaneeedaaa deserve each other. This FL needs to give them both a middle finger salute and walk away.

Sonam's acting is basically her being a walking advert for fashion houses🤣 a bit harsh. She's gotten a bit better over the years but films like this are clearly more her forte. I wouldn't expect her in a serious or heavy kind of film (Neerja aside, where I thought she was quite decent).

Talking about TZF also made me realise that it's not just movies...there are so few good rom-com novels by Indian authors, too. Well-written ones, that is 😵 😆 Basically I am CRAVING a good old-fashioned romance story, in print or on screen, and the lack of it just about anywhere is hurting my heart

I was surprised about Neerja but she pulled it off. Other than I agree with the fashion comment but fashion is her strength that’s where she should be.

I haven’t read any other rom com novels by indian authors - what other decent ones are there. I mean rom coms you can ready Lucy score she has some good ones.

rom coms are the best and it’s just like they’ve stopped making them
