I loved it that she used the visit for three purposes:

1. To invite all the Raos as show of strength in numbers and presence of Pallavi's actual family

2. To reassure Raghav that he may be out of sight but not out of mind, neither for Pallavi nor for Ayi. He's as important and special as before, and the event is Pallavi's way of setting a less somber ambience for them to meet up in.

3. To gauge what she had suspected was Raghav's state of mind and that she knew Pallavi was underestimating. For a while she'd been thinking about how all this was affecting him and this was confirmed by the state she saw him in. Hence her reassurance that Pallavi is his amaanat.

Raghav has always been gentle with people who he sees in the position of the mother, his reverence for mothers and their role stems from how he feels about his own mother. He has always been courteous with Ayi, even on the worst of day. We saw that even when he was defaming Pallavi at the party, how his tone and look changed when he talked to her briefly. And it's always been aap, not tum. He never took out his anger on Sanki Buddha on Ayi. So when she told him verbally and non-verbally what his place was in her life and Pallavi's, and what Pallavi's was in his, he read her eyes. The way he held his hand was not just to acknowledge her words and gratitude, but also as though he were holding and extension of Pallavi.

The scene was beautifully conceived, especially considering that this was the first time she'd openly acknowledged Raghav as her son-in-law and visited his house. I have to applaud the screenplay here and the way they showed Jaya standing in the background observing it with a knowing look, and feeling better for her own son.

He doesn't mean Nirupa or Marathi MIL in a derogatory way either, their connotations don't even come close to Sanki Buddha or Bada Bindi 😆. It's also a case of Raghav's dialect and language limitations. His Hindi is as expansive as he wants it to be and I see that as the charm of his character. He's able to use the funniest terms in the most serious situations and get away with it.

@ bold: I would LOVE to see that! I never even thought of it, but now that you mention it, it would be adorable to see on screen! Raghav hasn't had any parental influence in the latter half of his life, so I think somewhere deep down, he craves a bit of parental scolding. We've already seen him getting disciplined by his Amma, but it would be even more interesting to see how he reacts to getting disciplined by his Aai. I have no doubt that he wouldn't talk back. He would be utterly respectful as he's being put in his place by his Marathi mother-in-law. ❤️

@bold this is it!

Also, I love the fact that our ML has limited Hindi yet manages to convey the deepest and even most philosophical thoughts in the simplest of manners. His language has never been a limiting factor, rather it's been endearing to see him work with his limited vocabulary.

Ayi doesn't scold him because she knows he only tells of BWA and Sanki for things they are anyway wrong about. Since the day she saw him fighting for Pallavi and telling them about her innocence, she saw the real Raghav who she felt was the perfect husband for Pallavi. Now that she knows Pallavi loves him, she will show him extra care and I suspect she's the one who will put an end to the mess that Mandar's creating.

When she woke up at nyt......she could cry but couldnt msg or call him up. So what if he ws asleep ? Big deal. We all call our loved ones at odd hours. Also she could hv called Amma to ask abt him . No . She is behaving like some kid who has been grounded wid no access to phone.

Ofcourse she wont attend the party. Dts toh a given. Reason also we all already know. Nothing new......same Mandar doing same type of tricks to keep her back . I toh dont even care what plan Mandar came up wid. What I care abt is she missed sonething important related to her husband bcz she has to behave like a full time nanny......dt to on hef own accord.

Yes the show has come to dt.......I too fast forward or skip major chunk of episode. Cant even watch Pallavi's scenes dese days. They annoy me to no end.

I remember when i went to visit my family in Kenya and they were 8 hrs ahead. I had to call my husband and his time was like 3 am or 2 am etc but he either didnt answer since he was fast asleep so i would msg and he would reply when he woke up.

I mean they could make it realistic.

Can’t she not say that she is attending her husband’s function. What is wrong in that?

I understand that its obviously not Pallavi’s fault here as her character is being written like this but whoever is writing her dialogues and character needs to be replaced.

Totally pissing me off.

And all this about seeing each other after a day….there is something called video calling. What happened to that?

Obviously even after the Mangalgori kaand, she will still stay at d house so this track is going to keep going on and on. Sandiip sir said a short separation….kyunki daal me thoda tadka chahiye…..yeh toh full on tadka hi tadka hai, daal toh hai hi nahi.

Honestly the whole sequence is not making any sense. She could still come to d house in the morning even before Mandhar woke up and leave at night after he sleeps and this way she is still with her husband. Who the heck just leaves their house and stays elsewhere even though they have their husband and MIL. I mean she also left without even askingn her MIL. She doesnt even call her to ask how she is. All she cares about is Mandhar. Also what happened to her trying to separate keerti from that creep? She left that half way.

Honestly this story line is just going all over the place.

Oh geez sorry for such a long msg. 🤣

Dts how all of us do things in real life. Even if they wanted to be unrealistic abt it......atleast they could hv shown she called but Raghav didnt see the phn as he ws drowning himself in alcohol. Something ...

My thing is I wont blame the writers . See when we liked Pallavi....dt was also done by the writers only. The character of Pallavi is ders . So if I loved Pallavi at some point and I attributed dt to her and not the writers , den when she goes wrong and I dislike her......I will dislike Pallavi and not the writers. I hope I am making sense😆

Lol jyada tadka will spoil the daal and not enhance it .

@ bold : I told the exact same thing somewhere else. She could hv stayed the entire day and gone back home at nyt. Even in work life , I prefer coming back to my own place at the end of the day bcz dt place has a sense of belonging and calm. She cohld hv done dt. And in dt way it would felt she is doing this as a responsibilty. And No she doesnt care abt her present family dt much dt she considered it important to even let them know abt her decision.
