College students bhi ghar pe online classes ho rahi hai they also have time to watch tv. Pehle college jate the toh vapas ane k baad unke pas tv k liye time nahi hota tha. Assignment aur friends m hi busy hote the. Many such reasons are there.

Earlier I knew this thing trp is important but have no idea that 45000 household only have trp metres installed. After Arnab case I came to know about sample size and how easily trps can be manipulated.

I think now many people knows about trp system and it's flaws and these media portals already knows but still judge a show on the basis of trp instead of content 🙄🙄.

The new shows TRP as shown by him is 1.5😱. Hence proved, Content and TRP are inversely proportional. there is new show on SP coming soon Chikoo ki mummy durr ke😂..wondering which show is going off air now.

This is what hurts...if the media portals give coverage to good shows ,many new viewers will be attracted but naah..they will run after trp garnering show.I loved what KV said...that online engagements,reviews ,online popularity ,everything should be considered along with barc ratings.How can such a flawed system determine the fate of a show??? Yes apart from Anupama no other trp toppers tops their chart. I don't know how uk shows trps calculated but read somewhere India's population is large compared to uk so can't compare trp system of both countries.

The thing is India's trp system should be changed. Earlier the system was manged by some organization they sold the things to barc in 2015 or 16 so that large sample size to be taken. But they had not changed the sample size and continued with 45000 households only. And before trp audiences producers and channel need to take the steps. They have to bring quality content instead of saas bahu and sautan 😡

Right now itv is stuck in a vicious circle. As Long as audience don’t encourage good content channels don’t dare experiment. But if channels don’t promote at least a couple of shows with good content the audience will never change. So both go hand in hand and it is difficult to break the circle unless a particular channel decides otherwise and don’t worry about trps for a couple of slots. Or the other thing is most of the tv viewers shift to otts for such content and the channels are forced to do so.

And the trp system should change… how can you decide the fate of a show just taking into account 45000 households?

At the end it all pins down to the severely flawed trp system. We are in 21st century and online popularity and other things need to be considered.
