So I saw that Gopi Bahu aka Devoleena was approached and almost finalized for BALH2. Also seriously what is it with all the Season 2 coming up? Heard Colors is doing a Thapki Season 2 as well 🤦‍♀️.

Seema like the trend of it until ITV tires of this too.

And also yeah, what is this S2-craze? ITV's like a couple of years behind B-wood on this, with all the remakes

My first thought was also imagining them both together. Alsooo, I dont think Devoleena is a great actor. Quite the opposite in fact. So when put against NM... there is gonna be quite an imbalance. But just maybe she'll do better at the hands of a good director.

I think ITV with its S2 obsession is just ruining the legacy of the OG shows. Like way to ruin the charm and memories of the first one. Not to mention some of them literally have no resemblance to the first. Case in point BALH.

Oooh oooh also, Pratigya 2 is ending and I read that producer Pearl and Ashish got engaged. Love story right on the sets it seems.

@bold 1 - definitely true. IMO BALH worked because of Ram and Sakshi. The story and writing itself was nothing to write home about, especially towards the end. Ram and Sakshi's acting prowess sold it 100% and I just don't believe that Devo (and sorry, even NM) is up to that challenge. Those kinds of actors are very rare in ITV.

@bold 2 - I saw that too. Clearly reviving the show didn't work for them this time, and many fans feel like it ruined the memories of the first season for them as well. Same as with KRPKAB. I think, in general, if a story ends happily, then reviving/rebooting/bringing a second season of it is almost always going to result in disappointment. Because if you've told your in S1...then what else is there to say? You almost always have to create drama out of nothing in order to justify a second season. ITV's concept of 'seasons' has never really made sense to me, tbh.

I second that the USP of BALH was definitely Sakshi-Ram. The "mature love story" only supported them. Sakshi especially has really fine tuned her acting over the years. NM, I feel, was brilliant as Shivaay (As Shivaay's son, tbh I think he fell short). Although I feel he is a far far better actor than Devoleena ans hence the mismatch, he still definitely does not match up to the level of Sakshi, Ram. With the title and season format, the comparisons are bound to come. Which basically brings me back to this being a second season completely pointless.

@Bold Word. And like you have said earlier, the 'magic' of the first time is always different. Despite this, fans keep jumping on the demand S2 trends without thinking through and literally killing their own ships with their hands. *facepalms* I would say it out loud to a certain fandom but they'd jump on me LOL.
