I am of the opinion that its not that the others don't care for Sree or other family members. It is just that they are bound by societal norms and values much more. These traditions and values often cause people to overlook the happiness of their near and dear ones and I believe most of the family members have fallen pray to this mindset. For eg. Nanda has often displayed that she is unable to think outside what is "normal". While this attitude is objectionable, it is still a wide reality.

Yes, Nanda cannot think of any other things outside what society has termed as "normal". I am diverting from the point but as Mithai and others says Biye chailei bhanga jaina Gopal ehr eeche ei biye bhanga jaina.- but it's not true. Onek biye ei sohoje bhenge jai.

Remember that divorce episode when Thammi said "Ebar tor ki hobe Mithai". It seems like without husband a girl can't live her own life. Every serials at the end shows this only.

Exactly. There are lot of toxic marriage which shld be broken. People if not happy, it doesnt make sense. But since this show caters to general public, so they keep such retrograde dialogues to keep the show in TRP charts
