I disagree with Dadai part. He has been selfish. He knew Siddhartha's thought about marriage yet forced him to accept Mithai. All this lead to she facing his anger and humiliation. The girl works hard saved his grandson life his business but when Nipa disappear he very easily put entire blame on her. Tess and Somresh insults Mithai whenever they want because he and Thammi have never been firm with them. Dadai has put all responsibility on Mithai whenever there is any problem she is held accountable.

From whatever clips I've seen, I think Sid did realize that SreeTul looks like a Happy Couple but hasn't realized it yet..

I don't think Dadai atleast blamed her because o porer barir mey. He was upset with her because he thought Nipa ran away because of her carelessness. This behaviour isn't a one-off case displayed in case of Mithai only. Even when Mit left for Jonai saying her mom is sick, Dadai blamed Sid saying "irrespective of what you two say, I know you coerced her to leave". Does this mean he doesn't love Sid? No, rather it stems out of the fact that he is a father figure to both of them, I feel.

Song: There's Nothing Holding me Back

Singer: Shawn Mendes

Official MV (skip to 2:38 sec):

The part I'm talking about is the bridge.

The lyrics are:

Cause if we lost our minds

and we took it way too far

I know we'd be alright

I know we would be alright

And if you were by my side

and we stumbled in the dark

I know we'd be alright

and we would be alright x2

@violet – From what I could interpret, the phrases “lost our minds” and “took it way too far” can be explained in two ways – either sexually or emotionally. I’ll elaborate on the emotional part. So here he’s trying to say that even if they are angry and fighting, they would be “alright” and they’ll overcome it together – “we would be alright”. Their relationship will not be affected by these fights in any way.

Now does anyone remember “Jotoi raag hok, jotoi koshto hok-tarpor ki?” “Anonde thakbo, bhalo thakbo!”

It’s important to note that it was Mithai who completed the line for Sid. They took (or made) the oath (or promise) together.

@mustard – Here Shawn says “if you were by my side, and we stumbled in the dark” referring to the fact that if she stood by his side through thick and thin, he knew they would have made it to the end and even if there were obstacles and problems in their path ("stumbled in the dark"), they have no fear as they have each other.

“Jodi aajke Mithai laptop ta time e shariye aanto na tahole hoi to ami ei deal ta crack korte partam na!” ~ Siddharth Modak

Ok so I’m gonna end my crappy explanation here! 🤣

But every time I listen to this part I’m reminded of SidHai so this part is completely dedicated to them from my side (and to Shawmila ofc) ❤️

Well explained..❤️

There have been various occasions where he has been mum instead of speaking up. When you call your daughter in law Bouma and can't take stand for her respect when an outsider or your own son insults her it says alot. Sreetama has called out Sid, Torsha and Somresh unlike Dadai.

Totally agree to this point. At many instances, I myself felt Dadai is being selfish. Even now whatever he is doing is just to make Sid accept marriage. So dadai's priorities is always Sid. I agree, he had no hands in their marriage, and in a way he is just trying to save their marriage, but I have always felt he s selfish. Even in asking her to help his business. But saying so much, I feel the character is realistic. Hardly any in-law will actually thnk for a DIL😆

This last line is so true.. No matter how much Dadai claims to love Mithai, she'll always come after Sid, Sree, Nipa, Sandy n Nanda.. He loves Sid the most no doubt in that n hence wants Mithai for his Laatsaheb Naati coz she has the tendency to forgive n forget n move on.. She doesn't hold grudge against anyone for any kind of insult or misbehavior.. Top of that she's actually a Genius in their business.. Mithai is basically a "Sonar Dim deoa Haans" for Dadai

Hey, I read on a post in Facebook I don't know if it's fake or true. It said - Som will be caught by Sid when he was going to spoil the sweets.

@Anjali anf Soniya: Does he even care about Sreetama? Remember how he made excuse escaped on wedding day instead of talking to Sreetama about her decision of marriage and when Ratul came home with Nipa. His favourite line is I can't take it anymore not feeling well I am going to my room.

Dadai knows Siddhartha and Mithai love him alot and takes advantage of it. He knows Mithai's nature forgiving and selfless. Noone else could have tolerated what she did in terms of humiliation and insult. How easily he told Mithai keep your maan saman aside for a month. The whole divorce plan was to make his naati realise not once he thought about Mithai's feelings or emotions.

Yes, keeping that Maan shomman aside was really insulting.. He loves Mithai no doubt but he cannot take stand for her when needed. The only character who is like my mostt favourite is Rajib Ratul's mother. She speaks what is there in her heart.
