And as far as taking vaccines every year.. this might be an issue in India because of the large population + no concept of yearly vaccines. The only vaccines that were prevalent here till now were those that were given to young children (once in a lifetime). It will take some time for people to accept this concept.

I agree in india it's not easy at all because of the large population. I can see still some are not going for vaccination. I am wondering every year how it's possible for Government to give vaccine.

Even I can see many times vaccination centers are closed due to stock issue.

No... we are having restrictions being removed day by day as the situation is quite better now (in terms of number of Covid cases). In fact, we recently saw the lowest number of cases per day since the pandemic started last year.

Nope my bro nor any of his friends haven't got any vaccines yet because the slot booking on cowin is so difficult. No slots are available paid nor free.. they no longer many have vaccination centers like they did in may. Secondly one has to sit for hours if you go for walk in and that's not available for 18 to 45 group.

Mumbai is even worse than Ahmedabad in terms of vaccination drive.

My bro checked with friends in Mumbai and they haven't got vaccines. He said if we were in Mumbai then even my mom and I'd be waiting for the vaccine.

Well, I must say that the situation is far better in Vadodara then. It took me a few dedicated hours to book free slots... but on the whole, it was just one day's work.
