The falling apart was a consequence of this behaviour, I thought.

I was just thinking about all the negative characters in the story and the different degrees to which they are negative.

1) Tess: Deranged Sid-lover. Doesn't care too much about his well-being but wants him to be hers at any cost (I say this because yesterday, when Sid's laptop was fixed, instead of being happy for him and the fact that now he would be able to present his "3D VR" presentation, she was busy convincing him that its not fixed). Can stoop to unimaginably low levels, some of which is yet to unfold.

2) Som: Adopted Modak; Used to not-so-diligently handle the family business, more interested in personal profits. He has always harboured negative feelings due to Somoresh's behaviour but turned completely grey after losing his position in the business. I still don't have an idea as to how he feels about Dadai and the rest of the family after Brotin's manipulation. Sworn enemy to Mithai. Not sure about whether he actually cares for Sid or not.

3) Somoresh: On the lesser end of the negative spectrum. Loves family and business but cannot stand an uneducated wife for his son. In future, may get involved in larger plans for the love of his son, unaware of the consequences it may have on the same family and business he loves. I feel like, to some extent, he may have been painted more cruel then he actually is. More details will unfold once Som's past is out.

4) Brotin: Finally, the mastermind behind a lot of this mess. Arguably, the most intelligent of the lot. Although, his motive is unclear to me (possibly because I havent watched the beginning few episodes)

The biggest blow to him was Aarti misunderstanding him! She thought Som was his illegitimate son and brought him home. And then started all the misunderstandings and ugly fights. Be it his wife, son or his entire family, everyone of them misunderstood him. Everyone thought of him as the villain which acted as fuel to the fire.

According to Somoresh's point of view, Som is the root cause for all the problems between him and his family. In simple words, he blames him for everything.

He's not exactly negative.. Circumstances n his inability to judge the depth of any situation or person made him negative..

Protin/Brotin: He's missing nowadays but he was a better villain.. I would like to see him back in the show conspiring against Modak Business along with the Agarwals..

Other villains are Rebati Roy : She's thousand times better villain than her daughter.. She's shrewd calculative, dominating with a really sugar quoted fake behaviour..

The Agarwals : I'm missing the Baap Beta Jodi too 😂😂 Hope to see them soon when Mithai will start her own business or maybe take Modak business to a new height causing loss for the Agarwals 😜

I'm actually waiting for Roys, Agarwals n Som to team up against Mithai 🙈😂

@green: Nobody is born negative. Circumstances turn them into negative people. Even in case of Tess, she wasn't always this way. She started turning into a femme fatale once she realised her position and exclusivity in Sid's life is being threatened.
