She was not a person who liked to be told what she did wrong

Ooookayyyy, clearly... and then again, neither is she the most humble or honest of people to have a self realization anytime soon. In fact, she's like the poster child for arrogance.

So, what really is the solution to Smrita? Not just with Viveka, but rather for any of her faults? People just have to live with it? 🤓

They argued about who enters whose room unannounced more 🤣

Smrita seems to be not so sad or worried about Raanav leaving home or even her hurting him, as she is about Satyen's reaction to it! That's just so disappointing.. 😒

If Smrita decides to be sly and covert about her intentions, the pretense and the hatred would probably mean more trouble for Viveka!

But then the person Viveka is, she's a challenge that Smrita can never match up to.

She's using shoes and purses to tempt a girl who simply steps the game up with a wish for an island! ♥️

More than necessary

They didn’t talk at breakfast anymore besides the brief glancing at each other

“I am going to Rohini this evening” she told as she readied to leave

“WHY?” he demanded

Her heart skipped a beat

“Matlab?” she turned to look at him pushing her glasses up to peer

“Whats the occasion” he controlled his irritation

“Its like you being here, (giggling) with ur parents”

“8?” he confirmed when she shud leave

His talking this way did all sorts of delicious things to her

“Did Mum apologize?”

“That’s a NO” he said walking away to place his breakfast plate on the soiled plate area

No one in this family ever went into the kitchen she realized

“Bye” she texted walking out the bungalow finishing up what she thought was their talk

“8:30”

He responded

She laughed out loud and felt bad for dissing him about getting to be with his parents all the time

“If I am asleep by then?”

“Uve been woken from sleep before” he said confidently☺️

“Probably not… I would fight u for every bit of ur air time”

If they had just made a pact to be together until their 70s no one brought it up

He went off to confront his mother as Rakshit and Satyen wrapped up a work conversation

“Looks like you smoothed out the wrinkles?”

“With who?” Smrita pretended to be dense

“Viveka” he sipped his coffee staring at her face

Lekha was walking over with the photo shoot pictures on her ipad

“Oh… um… yeah u know”

“U didn’t apologize did u?” Raanav gently trapped her

“Of course not… I will just be civil with her, she will be living here (sigh) right?”

“U would not want her living here?” he muttered amused hiding his smile with his coffee mug

“Of course not… don’t be silly… I mean, yes I do want her living here (holy shit I don’t really want that) I mean she is a educated progressive young lady she should do what she wants I mean a mother in law should not be her advisor” giggling weakly

“Did u invite her to Europe?”

Lekha approached Raanav, he bend down to give her a hug and she sighed

“I am sooo tired, but u will love the pictures” she started scrolling, interrupting Raanav-Smrita convo

“Lets look at her pictures” Smrita gushed

“You did invite her then?” Raanav pressed

Smrita’s expression paled

“Did Mum invite Viveka?” Raanav quizzed Lekha with a big smile

“I don’t think she could go” Lekha proceeded to explain in her ditzy animated way about some pointless conversation she had had with Viveka, she took exactly 7 minutes and 18 seconds (Raanav was looking at his watch when it had begun 😊)

“Oh? She was asked” Raanav looked relieved

“OH YEAH” Multiple times” Smrita let out a long relieved breath

She had back up now

She was going to make it up toLekha Tandon, sorry Lekha PARASHAR

Smrita went off to praise Lekha and Rakshit’s pictures way more loudly that she usually would have.

Raanav texted Viveka walking out of the house toward the car

“Why are u not going to Europe”

“Why do u want me to?” she asked befuddled

“I asked first Mathur”

She didn’t respond

She was almost at Shahpur Jat

“I wasn’t supposed to, kyon pooch rahe ho”

“Never mind” he said gritting his teeth

This was going to be a big problem, he thought

Using his lawyer brain to address it

For the first time in life his Mum had p---ed him off to this extent

By humiliating Viveka Smrita had humiliated him

To Raanav status was everything, at this moment he was not Rakshit’s equal

“By encouraging your mother’s absurd outlook on life you have enabled her to be who she is today.”

He had accused Satyen of “passing the buck”

That had ended the camaraderie between the two

But he had started observing his Mum soon after how she tidily excused herself when talk of economic inequality came about and how outraged she got when there was even a mere implication of unjust behavior from her

Lekha had diffused the situation little bit more than she should have.

Raanav needed no other proof

Great place to begin with for Ranaav. The realization is gonna hit him hard.

But he shouldn't be his mothers replica and make it an ego issue.

I really think he should walk out for his and Viveka's sake.

Viveka will never be respected by Smrita. I don't mind she not accepting her whole heartedly. But won't even make peace with the fact that Vievka is someone who her son is in love with.

So its best to move out, if you really don't want to face such situation everyday.

He's not wrong there.. Satyen would have always had more insight and maturity in dealing with his wife, more experience and authority over her. Raanav may have encouraged his mum but Satyen is the enabler here!

Smrita might have just lost her son a bit today! Glad he realised!

What a sad situation for a son to realize that he is not equal just because he chose to marry for love and someone who he felt connected with. Both satyen and Smrita treating him differently and finally raanav seeing through all that probably was eye opening. Both Satyen and Smrita will repent if he chooses to leave the house and make his own. He is right Satyen too enabled Smrita..just rebuking her was not enough..she continued her ways and how did she make this far too?

Finally he got it. Many people realize things when they are faced with it in their own life. Until then they don't quite get it. Thats what happened with Raanav today. When he realized his own status went down a notch for his mother, it came home. It should have mattered to him when Smrita sent that text. It didn't quite have the impact then. But now when his own value is in question, he gets it.
