Star have done a bit of a director switch- Ghum's director has gone to MHRW. It looks like the MHRW folks are very happy with their new director; the Ghum folks not so much (remember that accident episode that has become a virtual meme on social media?)

Just shows how important a good director is- here's a thread from the MHRW forum singing their new director's praises.

But is it really Star's decision? I thought PH decides who will direct their show.

Ghum's director has come to MHRW and Anupamaa's director has gone to Ghum.

I meant Star shows generically in my earlier post, but given they're all competing production houses and two of them are Star's biggest TRP pullers, I think it's fair to assume that the channel would've had some kind of say in the changes. Star generally tend to be very pro-active and more involved in their shows (even suggesting script changes at times) in comparison to other channels that generally tend to have a more hands-off approach.
