May be this is what is stopping Sai?

A thought that crossed my mind while I was in a discussion in another thread.

The roadblocks for Sai to understand or realise Virat’s love as we all know is his past, his waada and Pakhi herself.

Some of us understand that it is quite natural for Sai to feel insecured when he had someone in his life and that someone still shows interest in him. The way I see it, even if Sai can see changes in him towards her, she is not convinced that it could be love. She can look at it as a husband who is doing it all. She freaked out when he said he likes her, asked him not to joke because she feels that it is just not possible and it is like stopping him to play with her emotions. He had shared that he had someone in his life and cannot give that place to anyone else. What I feel is that Sai has seen her Dad who never moved on, who didn’t marry again, so her definition of love could be that a person can fall in love only once or they won’t be able to forget their first love. She had seen the same again with Devi Pulkit who never moved on and were waiting or decided to spend their life alone. She is watching Pakhi too who gets hurt seeing Sai and Virat together, who is just not able to move on. I think that is why she is not able to even think that Virat can have feelings anyone other than Pakhi or is not convinced or can’t believe that Virat is actually moving on even if she can feel it sometimes or through his actions. Also, be it her Dad or Pulkit, they were in love with their loved ones forever and Virat moving on so soon could be another thing that she might feel is impossible.

It is for this reason that she probably feels that he is doing it all only for her sake, because she will feel bad since she is his wife, because they are married. She now has to feel that it is possible for a person to fall in love again and also that Virat didn’t have such strong feelings for Pakhi. Probably only then she will be convinced that Virat has moved on, has developed feelings for her. Jus a thought that crossed my mind, so sharing it.

Sai has a very conventional definition of love..I have mentioned in the past how for her Virat and Pakhi's love was for eternity.. She respected it and also was envious that Virat's love for eternity would not be for her, for his wife.. The way these two spoke about their love, spoke so highly about their relationship had made her hold it at the highest regards..The regard that even these two never gave their relationship... So Sai is in denial that Virat is out of love with Pakhi and she believes he is keeping a distance for her, because she feels bad about it and not because he wants it that way, like she mentioned the night he stops her from leaving and Pakhi is angry because of all that ..So all this rude exchanges of word between them is just lovers tussle and she is coming between the two, because of the responsibility Virat feels towards her..not just as someone who gave a vaada to her dying father but also as a husband..

I love this post 💕💕💕

You gave an amazing reasoning 👏of why Sai is not able to believe that Virat could be interested in her and the scene last week where she says don't say in as a joke also that you like me does make sense if you look this way. And her constant reminder to herself that Virat will only do somethings for Pakhi

But but I doubt the makers would give this much thought and character depth to Sai or atleast give glimpse of why she is doing what she is doing🤣. They are too focused on Didi to be frank.

Yes I do think she has idealistic view of love. Once in lifetime! Her measure of love comes from her dad and Devi tai! Also she set too high standards for virats word and vaada. All this combined she is not able to believe virat could love someone else like his first 😳. Only if she can understand the true story from virats mouth 😅

Totally agree with your post and Sai’s stance of forever love.

Unfortunately with Pakhi being in the same house it is impossible for Sai to move past that wedding day comment. Whilst Virat doesn’t clarify the vaada Pakhi doesn’t hesitate in letting Sai know her version of the vaada. Which Virat never disagrees with in front of Sai….so I can see why Sai finds it difficult to understand Virat has moved on.

Amazing analysis. ❤️

Completely agree with you, especially with her Aaba not remarrying part. Before her marriage, she didn't see a married couple closely. She only saw her Aaba, who didn't remarry and still reminisces all the memories of his wife.

Strong, clear affirmations from Virat is what is needed for Sai to open her heart, to lower down the walls. She is too scared of letting others play with her emotions, she fears that if someone does that she will breakdown and will never be able to gather herself.

I do think she will understand that he fell "out"of love/infatuation for pp if he explains it. But thats why its SO important for him to clarify what happened with pp, that it was a fleeting thing which he got overly emotional about. And that he considers this marriage as real before he confesses love. For Sai no matter what the current status with pp is, to her- pp was his first Love, the woman he promised that no other woman will ever be in his life/heart. That is a big deal. Those are big words. its not easy to accept that your spouse had feelings for another woman even if it was not meant to be long term. So if he he wants Sai to truly understand that he has genuinely moved on and he isnt just trying to placate himself/her by saying things like "Thoda thoda tumhe pasand karta hoon".

Honestly i think Sai will definitely consider if he is sincere about his feelings for her as a lover/husband or if he is just trying to make the best of the situation n zimmedari. And if its the latter Sai will not like that. She doesn't want an insincere compromise forever (thats why she keeps talking about leaving once her mbbs is done) and she doesn't want pity. Shes already dealing with being an imposed responsibility on him. And she is already struggling with the blurred boundaries of this deal vs real shaadi, the last straw will be "pity" love.

Sai is way less practical than Virat. I have said it many times she fails to see the thin line between black and white. As a result she is unable to understand the dynamics of a spouse hence blocked her mind being in " love " or understanding Virat's "love".Her mind is still stuck to one point that how a man can reject a beautiful life ahead for a lady whom he hardly knows. She is yet to learn that our emotions changes with times and so does our relationships .All said and done about Virat's eternal love for Pakhi but she is yet to understand that she and virat have every right to love each other.

SaiRat relationship is yet to take off because it's always influenced by a third person. I have believed third person 'S interference can make relationship unhealthy. In recent episode what she had to here about her husband from Pakhi weren't so pleasant for her. Her husband was questioned for loving her. Take for instance if Ashwini turns an over possessive mother to Virat and questions her son for loving his wife it would be as unpleasant as it is with Pakhi.

Having said all above SaiRai have come a long way. Now it's up to them how they would overcome the tough journey ahead.
