First of all they both are on totally diff fields... Does a male in her field working along with her, get higher raise than her and a female working along with her husband get less pay increase?
Notice she didn’t mention her husband’s occupation clearly, she says he calculates people’s car insurance... Maybe he started out at at low level with much less salary and got promoted to manager or something...

Aren’t doctors’ salaries high when they join unlike an insurance agent or a person working in an office and don’t think doctors get promoted much except maybe HOD or something... So how often do they get pay raise?

So for ex. if she was getting 250,000/yr salary and got 18% pay increase her salary would be an addition 45,000 and he gets paid 50,000 his’ would be roughly 43,000

In one of her replies she says it’s academia so maybe she isn’t a doctor. Academia pay tends to be shitty unless they are receiving external funding. Either way her tweet is pretty vaguely awarded to be able to do better comparisons.
