Highlights of the episode for me were
VD’s reaction and softness, gentleness towards his son.. I was touched.. he might have been and he probably will be a lot of things but today he was really a father who i wanted to see.. i had found his reaction to raghav being jailed for his sons death very uncharacteristic because in one of the earlier episodes, he was lamenting over the fact that he gave mandaar permission to leave the house on his wedding night to not come back ever..
Sulochana’s reaction to pallavi-mandaar-raghav equation.. it gives me hope that the legalities of both the marraiges will be contested and some resolution brought forth...
Raghav was consistent even in such a difficult time that he acted only on cues based on pallavi’s action.. he only showed his displeasure at pallavi for taking a seat behind with mandaar but he just let her do that.. when he was territorial and staking claim.. it happened when he saw that pallavi was reluctant to share how mandaar and she were related when asked..
Even in the room, although he was burning inside, only when pallavi freaked out in fear of validation of their marriage, did he voice out his own desperation and fear.. i think ketan and shivangi did so well there and amma being a witness to her children’s vulnerable state of mind.. it was a nice touch..
Even the confession, she started.. and raghav just cut her and told it bluntly.. no fancy words.. i had expected raghav to be this blunt only and i wasn’t disappointed.. no decorative words to elaborate his feelings.. simple straight-forward and effective..
i actually quite liked the hug.. it was a very emotional hug for both of them.. given that they were fearful, desperate a few moments ago and the relief that washed over them that the other person feels as much as they do about each other..
Pallavi also was quite consistent in her reaction.. she always does crazy stuff when confronted with the thought of being separated with raghav.. be it the jhadoo incident when raghav hands over kolhapur ticket or the police station gun incident or even today..
As a viewer, i couldve waited for their confession but given how they reacted to the uncertainty of their validity of their marriage, raghav and pallavi characters needed it today..
Episodes like today and yesterday reinforce that may be the writers havent really lost touch with the core of their lead characters and hopefully they will stick to it.
Finally, raghav will come out of the husband mode and don the role of lover also now..
