I have a doubt did Manish support sex determination test i don't think so because for that only kdadi was responsible. Because when Manish got to know he himself was shocked. Manish was only demanding for baby boy which was anyway wrong.

Though during 2016 period story sort of sidelined every other character to glorify akshara when kaira story started, it sort of made naira the only good character or constant victim. This character is so inconsistent that in real life, someone like her would probably have landed in trouble than put others in trouble like naira did. I do feel sometimes that the producer made the actress sign some perennial contract so she has no option but stay in the show and bore us with her limited acting skills and constantly acting.like a child on and off screen. I stopped watching the show in 2017 but i stumbled upon one of the promos recently and it is still a cringefest

Nope. Naira & Kartik's divorce happened because of their own ego & immaturity. Shubham's death was just a trigger. Kaira were already extremely dysfunctional before that

Yeah, Manish didn't know about the sex determination test. But when Kaira lectured Daadi about it, Manish defended her.

I think that's why the confusion. He didn't stand as passionately against Daadi's action as he should have.

Even Naitik and Akshara went through a similar situation with Daddaji's death. Bhabhima blamed Akshara for it, but Naitik stood by her through thick and thin. Naira and Kartik didn't even have a proper meaningful conversation about their relationship after Shubham's death.

They weren't boring as ppl wud say, it was conservative, yes. But epis were quite simple and it not only focused on akshara naitik, but as mentioned, there were lot of chars that had their own story, which was completely missing from kaira story. The one reason why they majorly ran out of stories quickly especially after 5yr leap.

Many claim it to b akshara's show, but if sum1 has watched it, there were many chars that had a pleasant arc & growth & i remember those chars & miss them even today.

And kaira, i feel, their story was gud in terms of equality to an otherwise fl oriented show where male char doesn't have a say & they were these imperfect ppl, to an otherwise perfect ideal chars. kartik took a stand for naira, especially in the initial tracks after their wedding.

But as expected, Naira was overhyped after a point, like any other typical bahu of d itv, kartik was made to look bad, again d same thing.

Naira cud hav emerged strong instead of running away frm kartik in 5yr leap or atleast shown making a career of her own ( i still can't get how she was hyped that she made jewelry & saved their business - nothing new in shows wer fls hav to b " i know it all' though). Her sherni mode was later on just reserved for social msg tracks & when it came to solving her own problems, she was a doormat. She cud hav given a nice reply to vedika & shut instead of crying most of d tym & acting mahaan. I dont get, why women hav to be shown this way in itv. They dont grow out of that regressive thought.

And Kartik, cvs just change his behaviour as per their need. Basically, if they dont hav any story, create a misunderstanding btw them. Poor kaira, they didn't even get a decent modern storyline as parents. They just messed d whole tracks one after d other. That's why, maybe the itv shows shud come up wid decent no of yrs, if stretched for long, all d chars that once liked wud behave d right opposite.
