I loved the parallel between Alok's situation and Anokhi's situation. How easy it is to make an innocent, guilty and a culprit, victim.
It's interesting that when Anokhi was accused, the evidence was presented and decisions were taken, as if family didn't need to be protected or that reputation wasn't important. And all so quickly done! So what's the point of her adding Sabherwal to her name is she's not even given the consideration of one.
There was another parallel too- Anokhi was feeling the pain of PS not trusting her based on their relationship and trusting the proof in front of him provided by Priyanka. This was when she needed him the most in public. Interestingly she did exactly the same thing a few days back, not trusting her family and PS and abandoning him publicly when he needed her the most emotionally instead chosing to believe very same Priyanka (that too without proof). In one stroke her marraige, her love and her career are all seemingly destroyed.
As a viewer it's so hard because we're privy to who's right and wrong. Anokhi's actions are right because she's supporting who's right. Even when she's willing to do anything to support the right(because we know it's right), it makes sense because she's principled. I don't know if she ever has "abandoned" her PS. But once she picks the side of the right, she doesn't let anyone talk her out of it. A little stubborn, but also a quality that allows her to overcome obstacles.
You had mentioned a few days back that it was a pity that we need a recording to prove something as devastating as molestation. But the problem is we have too many unscrupulous people who would use an accusation like this to make money, blackmail or drag other people down. Priyanka did not take any time to shift sides and she is not wrong, what good would an apology do her.
I'm not denying that there's crappy people in the world. But just the way the figures are when it comes to sexual abuse and harassment, there are more victims that don't get justice compared to wrongfully accused people paying a price. Our society doesn't take the harassment/abuse of women seriously enough. Marital rape is still not a crime in India. Harassment and abuse a common daily event for most women worldwide.
I am completely understand why Sab family would throw Anokhi out. They think Shaurya is disgusted and embarrassed...nope he is out there trying to find proof of his wife's innocence. They still don't understand Anokhi-Shaurya equation. How many people in family truly believe that Alok did not molest and are willing to live in their delusion. Kanchan and Gayatri certainly seemed unconvinced. Shaan is sure Anokhi did not do anything. Devi knows in her heart that Alok did what he was accused of ...that leaves only Tej and Betty.
Sabherwals(minus Shaan) don't understand love. I don't think they feel any for their spouses, siblings, or children. The fact that they think relationships can be broken so easily shows how thin their loyalty is to another person. I'm soooooo looking forward to Shaurya showing them their place! Tej supports the purity of Sabherwal blood and rearing. And Bebo and Kitty have to support their father, the other option isn't really palatable.
I wish everyone has friends like Reema. I also loved that Anokhi would rather take the fall alone than drag Reema down with her. If there is a season 2, Can we please give Reema a cute lovestory too?
Yes!! Can the love guru use a love guru aka ShaKhi? I would looooove that! Give me season 2.
Precap: I am glad Shaurya did indeed use his brain and he stood by Anokhi. I am curious to see if Anokhi learnt anything from this incident because this could lead to her character growth too. Something I have been dying to see. I think tomorrow is resolution to this drama. Day after is the aftermath and maybe an impromptu honeymoon. Last episode will be tying all the loose threads.
I'm really looking forward to the resolution of this track. What will be the takeaways? And where will everyone end up?
