- He knew Rishita is Jaanu’s daughter & Jaanu would have never agreed to let her marry in Pandya family. And that it will be a task for Rishita to adjust , he still went for it.
-He knew Rishita & her sister are sole heirs of Jaanu , long term planning! Future setting of Dev Seth.
-He knew Raavi’s open feelings for him since bachpan. But not even once he managed to talk to her/ deny it. Not even after Shiva kept pointing this to him.
Because he perhaps wanted to keep option open, if Rishita & Seth takeover doesn’t work out: Raavi is ready as option 2.
- allergic since his dual act through wedding celebrations. Remember Radha on the dance floor?
One minute he was sitting on chair like constipated scarecrow. Shiva takes over entertaining & dancing with Raavi.
Next minute when he is pulled in the dance: full 180 degrees reaction swap. He forgot Rishita, love, Ishq,Mohabbat. With full ‘model’ smile & fakest lipsync He was dancing his heart out!
- post wedding Dev’s spineless acts, mute reactions, rafiki style last minute tries to be hero just adds to strong dislike for this character.
- Now, just because he is Janu’s jamairaja - whole family has to suffer. Where in the end he & his wife get best of the available to pandyas + will end up with Janu’s jaydaad.
Nothing to lose for Dev.

I really liked Anita's character design pre-haveli. A girl who made a mistake, realizes the mistake, and now wistfully thinks of "what could've happened" in a positive manner. Hardik and Anita's story could've been one of redemption and moving on for Anita as first love does not always equal only love!
However, this Anita/Gaumbi aspect has completely killed her character, and she is reduced to nothing more than a laughing stock (in my opinion). Honestly, if we had pre-haveli Anita, she might have served the purpose of helping build this room with Raavi, and this could've been the moment Hardik fell in love with her. It would've been the perfect track with her!

Prema, I know you mentioned regional TV takes risks that ITV cannot (or does not want) to take. I mostly follow Telugu shows unless I see something of interest in another language, but here are regional show storylines that I have come across in the past:
1) Female lead despises cooking. Male lead recognizes this and tells her that he is comfortable cooking for her for the rest of their lives as his mother (his father passed away when he was young) taught him the importance of shared duty, including sharing kitchen duties of cooking (#1 TRP in it's slot)
--How amazing would it be to have Dev say a similar line to Rishita in the future? She doesn't need to worry about cooking since Dhara taught him basic recipes that would fulfill their needs.
2) Female lead works as a manager in the company the male lead is a CEO of. She is very competent in her job and saves the company from bankruptcy multiple times, even when the male lead could not. He fires her due to insecurity, but then hires her back when his staff and family tell him just how much of an asset she is. He then apologies to her, and gives her a grand welcome at the company (#1 TRP in it's slot, plus it changed history of how leads should be portrayed)
--How amazing would it be to watch Dhara take care of many of the financial aspects of Pandya Store? She's well educated, and a beacon for the family... I don't even think Gaumbi would mind having her take care of all these duties.
3) A grandmother sets up an online business and it becomes widely popular and profitable. She upholds the family's finances as her children are unable to do so, telling us the elderly can help, too! (#1 TRP in it's slot)
--Even though saas-bahu drama is a TRP highlight, I would love to watch a show where saas-bahu are competing over who can turn over the most amount of profit! Dhara could be managing the store, and Suman managing the online version of Pandya Store, and they could frequently argue over who is more successful.
4) Female lead is the missing heiress of an hotel empire. Male lead brings her back and teaches her about her family as well as how to deal with businesses in general (#1 TRP in it's slot)
--Shiva and Raavi could've followed this plot. After the scene with Raavi at Pandya Store, Shiva could've made the resolve to teach Raavi how to be a business woman. There's still time for this, so I'm hoping!
Regardless, CVs, please take risks. It's 2021. Women are achieving so many different feats. Even men are starting to realize that doing household chores don't make them any less manly.
