Imlie finds new purpose

And so the "best bahu competition" week officially kicks off 😆

We got a "follow up" Adi-Imlie scene following the events from Saturday.....lol except the follow up barely focused on Imlie being subjected to humiliation and Imlie instead totally fixated on the fact that the family had to suffer humiliation from society waale😆.......is baat ka gussa bhar ke kar diya Babusahib ka gadda pack and bol liya ki nikal lo yahaan se😆......Adi's like, why do WE have to stay apart the moment things get tough? And Imlie's like things are bad cuz the family is being made to feel ashamed just cuz we both are trying to be happy together......lol as always, Imlie ka funda is ki I can't be happy if everyone else is unhappy😆.

The argument boiled down to the usual.....Adi's like, "I don't give a damn about what such ghatiya minded samaaj ke log think who want to put down someone over doing ghar ka kaam".....and Imlie's like, "farak padta hai kyunki koi bhi akela nahin jeeta....everyone has to live in this very society so it does impact you".....she told him that he's considering society like a monolith but there are distinct people who make up that society, people who's names his family members know. She then further linked this situation back to the horrible things that have been said to her own Amma over the years - things that Adi can't even imagine.....so in conclusion - whether you like it or not, duniya ki kadvi baatein lagti hain psyche pe......and Imlie can't bear this family's honor being attacked by the outside world....she blames herself for their hurt (in typical Imlie fashion)....but at the same time, she also resolves to erase the hurt of that wound come what may......Adi hears her out and then asks her how exactly she plans to achieve this.....lol.....so she replies that she's just going to try pure dil se😆......Imlie has finally found her own direct mission.....new purpose mil gaya hai😆.

The rest was essentially a build up of this best bahu competition participation/registration......what's notable is that we have moved past the point where it was in QUESTION ki Imlie is Aparna ki bahu😆.....now everyone has accepted that truth to varying degrees - whether or not they are happy about it😆......I literally heard Aparna say in one scene ki tab mujhe lagaa tha Malini meri bahu THI😆.....Didi ka THI kar diya - wooohoo......lol......

More importantly, IMLIE is now fully OWNING her place as Aparna's bahu publicly....kya Mama Bear ki tarhaan aayi to protect Aparna from society waalon ke taane😆......ginvaa di list of so called "izzatdaar" logon ke apne gharon ke tamaashe😆......best was the bit where she was like I remember during AM ki shaadi, you were all claiming Aparna ne bade ghar mein haath maar liya and now when you know that I'm her bahu, you're taunting her over my gareebi?😆......Imlie ki zubaan finally activate ho gayi hai phir se and interest ke saath sunaa rahi hai ghatiya logon ko👏😆.......I'm also loving the undercurrents playing out between her and Aparna in these scenes.....she's fiercely stepping in front of Aparna to stand up for her and Aparna is noticing everything......even if she is rebuking Imlie, uspe in baaton ka impact dikh raha hai how Imlie defends them like her own.....uska apna parivaar.

LOL@ the little scene of Aparna complaining like a kid to Pankaj ki she had such big dreams about winning this competition with her bahu😆.....bacche jaisa dil hai Aparna ji ka bhi......Imlie overheard all of this and woh bhi itni saaf dil hai ki she decides on the spot that she will win this competition just to fulfill Aparna's dream😆

Adi as expected finds all this NONSENSE😆.....bol diya directly ki kya bakwaas hai yeh sab best bahu competition, tum PADHAAI KARO🤣......but Imlie aaj full stubborn mode mein thi ki main toh yeh karke hi dikhaaungi no matter what.....Babusahib ko bol diya ki aap hain na mere saath.....aww😆.....aur aap bas mera HONSLA badhaaiye😆......aaj naye word pe banter bhi kar liya...."Chiraiyyagirl"😆.....Imlie wants Adi to be her cheerleader and he's like you want me to put on a skirt and do gymnastics for you? 🤣🤣🤣......that was a hilarious bit......LOL as usual Adi was putting on a stern face in front of Imlie but cracked a smile once he had turned away😆

Competition registration waale scene mein bhi Imlie ka resolve was noteworthy.....I'm quite enjoying this confident Imlie even if yeh sab bahu competition OTT-ness chal raha hai......lol random things are so funny......like woh rival catty bahu who apparently wins the competition every year - terrible wig she's wearing😆.......and Imlie confidently asserting ki wohi jeetegi....haha.....aaj toh finally saas aur bahu ka naam bhi saath mein le liya Imlie ne......Aparna Tripathi and Imlie Tripathi......felt surreal to hear Imlie finally calling herself Imlie Tripathi and owning her identity on that level also.....these subtle shifts are making all this worthwhile......Aparna is showing her usual gussa but Imlie isn't getting fazed much.....lol saasumaa ne registration ka ticket phaad diya toh Imlie promptly taped it up again😆

Nice to see Imlie having Pallavi with her as support through this competition too.

Precap mein cooking competition is on.....lol.....and AC dhamak padi hain rang mein bhang daalne.....dekthe hain Imlie kaise manage karti hai😆

Didi ko aaj KC ne bhi REJECT kar diya🤣......told her to go find a new lawyer for her divorce case cuz she's just wasting his time with her daily yatras to Adi's house......lol appreciated the fact that he pointed out directly that she uses Imlie as an excuse and makes up other excuses to find her way to Adi😆......chalo kisi ne ITNA toh point out kiya story mein.....lol

Baaki Didi ofcourse can never easily admit her own lies toh KC ko toh attitude dikhaa ke nikal gayi.....ghar jaake Mummy ke kandhe pe ro liya ki she feels ashamed of herself for still being hung up on Adi after everything that has happened😆.....lol yeah right, we all know kitni sharam hai aap mein Didi ji......AC ko bhi mil gaya one more excuse for going and targeting Adi-Imlie cuz her loser daughter is still bahaaoing loser tears......lol

AY I enjoyed today’s episode! Liked both Adi Imilie scenes especially the second one - Imlie asking Adi to be her cheer leader was just so adorable - caps on that when you get some time please?🤗

Loved that our strong Imaliya back - even if it’s a saas bahu competition, I am going to enjoy Imlie doing everything she can to win this for Apu. As I said in the previous thread, something tells me Imlie will not win the whole competition but Apu and the others will witness Imlie doing more than her best for her family - I do not expect a complete turnaround from Apu but I definitely see her melting a bit after all of this. I do not mind this best bahu competition at all 😆

Nothing else that noteworthy because we had the same repetitive didi nonsense - and of course she blurts out again to AC. So predictable 😆😆

Point to be noted as you said aparna and Imlie are slowly becoming a team even if right now they have sort of a cold war going..Aparna is noticing every bit & not only That she is letting imlie take Control nd isn't interfering she only todl her to stop once imlie had finished the job and then later too imlie Bajaooed woh prachi and uski saas ache se only then aparna left.. I really Like this shift where the usually abused Imlie is not becoming the shield of her kakis and even though internally there is so much conflict going on .. Externally they are still beign a Team.. They are staying chup letting her take control and Imlie toh kya Josh main aayi hai and I LOVE ITT. it was a nice Touch to see them tackle it a bit in a realsitic fashion int he sense ke yeh do sociliatities gossipingmongers hoti hain inke paas sach main kuch hota nahi hai toh socializing ke naam pe cheap thrills dohoondti hai and imlie pointing it out so calmly and then all the secrets hidden in their closets ke OK then if you relal want to claim me as naukrani i can pollkholo you as well..

aww hearing imile and aparna tripathi together was so awww and i liked their slow and steady coming to terms ke ab toh Imlie hi bahu hai jaisi bhi..i was going aww a imlie being her fierce self making it very personal ke nobody can insult her saasumaa hahah the bit where she registers themselves and goes my saasumaa Aparna hehe..

adored Pallavi's genuine support and love for imlie ke tu jo bhi karegi theek karegi and i am with you anyway and still coming to support imlie jaise bhi now that is what sisters do stand up. There is a sincerity in her and a genuine vibe and warmth..

Word about the childlike complains of Aparna Kasam se maa batea har cheez main ek jaise hi hain yeh bhi kitna same hai jab complain karne pe aate hain toh ek dum pouty kids haha and yes i am loving imlie ka hum toh best bahu banegein hi and will bring the smile on CK ka face May SITA MAIYYA BLESS You

2nd scene pe i have posted my long take in the caps post but i have to add i am loving all this team work again and rofl the pouty face and look imlie gave to adi before he turned to smile Adorable bachas.. i loved the hum toh hamehs umhare saath hi hain bit too ofcourse and the way adi said it awww

the first Scene Acha hua saza mili isse aur jaaye bhaag bhaag ke didi ke paas ab bhukto imlie ne sahi saza di ke ab kona chodo aur waapis jao.. What i really like in this again even though imlie was making it a parivaar ko chot lagi thing and i will fight for parivaar ki izzat the POV is valid from both ends.. the fact that they were both correct in their spots imlie is right samaj se cut ke nahi reh sakte yes they have expected pettiness but then they did't realized the depth that the fam would be affected for something they had no hand in and adi is absolutely correct too ke aise logon se rishta rakhna is a sharam ki baat in itself and it shouldn't bother anyone.. i mean yes the approach can work for someone liek adi but then as a family they will have to remain in the very same society so naa chahte huye bhi farak padta hai.. *sigh bitter truth of dunia it is * i liekd hwo they closed it too with him asking and how will you do it an dimlie ka itna endearing and pure bas poore dil se .. MAN yeh ladki kya hai 🤗❤️ and itni pyari kyon hai.. highight of the scene what stayed with me just her pure innocence in that bit and resolve that i will try my best

Felt bad that Sundar got insulted unnecessarily yet he tried his best to protect Imlie from getting further humiliated. Imlie did a good job of verbally thrashing those gossiping aunties (lol that Prachi bahu had a weird hairdo no offense) but for the her love towards Aparna, she is prohibited by Aparna.

*Aparna does look touched by Imlie's words but still tries her best to put up the facade in front of the gossipers.

Adi-Imlie scene #1:

Follow up par toh Ts' humiliation were the focus more than Imliya as you mentioned. 😆

Imlie is truly going the passive way of attempting to eradicate their conflicts as she feels responsible for their discomfort & believes that baaki SM sambalegi. Adi then without saying a word picks up the bedsheets. Ending with a cupping moment was sweet.

Adi-Imlie scene #2:

Adi's point of "best bahu thing" as a way to win Aparna's heart has converted "adi-pagal Imlie" to "puri-pagal Imlie." Trying to tell her to focus on her studies, but Imlie thinking Ts & her issue as a whole. If she can dance despite being under the weather, then best bahu competition se toh jang bhi jeet sakti h Imlie. Imlie only wants BS' support & hosla by becoming a chiriagirls. LULs, shehri langoor wearing skirt & doing gymnastics. . LOL, jk sorry this moment was just cute 🤪.Then, BS just orders her to continue with her studies before he secretly chuckles over best DIL contest.

@bold: Haan that's quite possible.....LOL I'm frankly not even thinking about kaun competition jeetega, kaun nahin.....I'm just finding Imlie's determination and resolve endearing😆.....kya pyari bacchi hai ki ismein bhi isne puri jee jaan lagaa li hai.....Aparna ke liye yeh dream hai toh Imlie ne usko apna goal banaa liya hai......this just plays into the basic theme of the story and character again.....jab woh kisi ko apna maan leti hai, she'll go to the ends of the earth for them......and she's considered Ts her own since way back......toh basically this entire setup is to remind Aparna of that Imlie which she is determinedly trying to zone out right now......but kuch moments of melting toh honge hi most likely mixed with the usual daant and gussa😆

I have no issue with the best bahu competition cuz they are showing it in the usual Imlie storytelling style.....ek cliche ko dikhaate hain par downplay karke......not as loud as baaki shows.

Aparna thinks Imlie can never live up to her vision of a bahu😆.....that is what they are tackling with this competition....that superficial soch ki ek competition se prove ho jaati hai best bahu.....lol.....Imlie will prove herself in her own quintessential Imlie style and that is what will leave an impression on Aparna at the end of this entire competition I feel.....I found that part also endearing ki Imlie was like even if Aparna doesn't accept her, she will still prove herself as the best bahu.....for her, it's as simple as thinking that winning this competition will make Aparna feel happy ki uski bahu jeeti hai.....lol and chaahe woh Imlie ko bahu maane ya na maane, that technicality of her bahu winning will make her happy😆.....there is something cute about Imlie referring to Aparna as her saasumaa multiple times too😆

I really liked the epi today even if I also believe the same as Adi about the Best Bahu Competition- it is NONSENSE😆. But the epi was mainly focused on Imlie & her feelings about the opposition & censure that her & Adi are facing from the elders as well as society & we got our fierce determined Imlie back👍🏼. So that made the epi better than the last 2-3 epis that we got.

I loved both the Adi-Imlie scenes that we got.

Again the hurt & humiliation of Imlie was brushed off but then Imlie is the one who never wants to dwell on her own unhappiness. We thought she would be crying in her kona but instead we got a fierce Imlie angry on the society on behalf of her family's humiliation😆. She has even pushed out her BS from her kona back to his room because they can at least do this much to lessen the family's pain until they get their approval😆.

Adi as usual began his I don't care about what society & family thinks & we should be together speech but Imlie ke gusse ka kahar phut pada BS pe hi🤣. She explained to him that this is not how world works. Again the wisdom that this 19 year old girl has is commendable👏. She basically read him a riot act about coming out of his idealistic world into the real world where society & their acceptance does matter to lead a good life. She as usual blames herself for being the reason for the family's humiliation. These society people are individual people who know the family & the family knows them. So of course their opinion matters. She gave him the explanation of her own situation where Meethi & her had to bear the taunts & humiliation from the same people who have known them lifelong. How her own Nani doesn't leave a chance to hurt them. How both her & Meethi are used to hiding their tears from each other because respect from the society matters. She has now resolved to heal the family's hurt from the society & bridge the gap between them & family. Adi understood her pov & asked her how she is going to achieve this. Imlie replies that she will try her best Dil se & rest Sita Mother will handle. Adi did his fav cupping her cheek gesture as a sign that he will support her & went away with his mattress back to his room.

Next Adi-Imlie scene we got was after Imlie tells him that she is going to participate in the Best Bahu Comp. Both Adi-Imlie were adorable with their quick quips & Adi being putty in Imlie's hand as usual😆. Adi says with a straight face that he had known that Imlie was Adhi-paagal but today she has proved that she is poori paagal🤣. All this best bahu comp is NONSENSE & she doesn't need to prove anything to anyone & she should focus on her studies. Imlie says that she wants to do it to fulfill Aparna's wish & make her happy. She is not doing it for society. Adi tries to caution her that she will get hurt by all the taunts & humiliation that will be meted out to her by the society people & the family also will not support her. But Imlie bowls him over with her simple "Aap toh haina mere Saath"😳. She doesn't need anyone else's support when he is there to support her. She wants him to be her "Chiraiyya Girl"🤣. Adi asks her what is that & Imlie explains to him that she wants him to be her cheerleader😆. Adi quips back does she expect him to do gymnastics for her wearing a skirt as well🤣. That is one hilarious visual to imagine🤣🤣🤣. Imlie cajoles him that she will not let it affect her padhai so what is the problem. Adi maintains his stern face & doesn't argue anymore indicating that she has got his support & Imlie leaves from there. Adi breaks into a smile as soon as Imlie's back is turned😆. Jhalle kahin ke. Puts kaala teeka to protect them🤗.

Regarding Imlie's dialogue: The line where she says ki usko ticket katvake safar karne mei usko maza ata h, with the prize of winning the best bahu award + her description of what a best bahu is (respecting the one from whom she received her husband more than her own mother).

Hahha i was echooing adi's thoughts about what nonsense and log itni bakwaas banate kahan se hain and time kahan se nikalte hain for such nonsense yet it was adorable hwo she was like that's my way to start fixing.. i esp liked her saying who cares about competition her drive is not winning it but it is just her way to start mending the uljhe relationships from somewhere as it is CK ka sapna.. i liked that imli doesn't believe in such stupid superficial nonsense as well but she wouldn't back off either and would give it for her Best shot for the right reasons i.e CK ki khushi and hahha at Adi ka who am I to come in between you and your mannats😆 or you and your Sita maiya.. he has tried enough to come in between and had kaho moonh ki chapped so now he is resigned and like ok whatever 😆 i still find it stupid AND CHUP CHAAP BHAITH KE PADHO NAH NAH NAH but she too knows ke iss wali naa and dant ka matlab haan hi hai😆
