Episode 23
Finally an episode that has build up the future twist an turns, I liked the episode, a lot of things happened very subtly, and I feel like this episode should have been aired before instead of the drag which it was in between 18th-20th episodes.
Rida did a great job, she is like fandom's voice, emphasizing that Mahi's few hours of rishta and izzat ka dikhawa is taken as granted and she is being mis-treated and Mahi's silence confirms that even for her this is only few hours ka rishta and has become like a suffocation now, as neither she feels for Taimoor, nor does she care to figure out why she sees Farhad instead, all she wants is to do some damage control as her family is directly involved in Taimoor's death. I love how Hashim Nadeem has created this universe though, where even though she never loved Farhad and probably thought he was worthless, it is his good memories that haunted her more than anything leading to the baddua that makes her more guilty, I do not really know what Mahi actually felt for Farhad, but it was more than sympathy, otherwise no way, no freaking way that even after his curse, she does mourn his heart break more than Taimoor's loss.
Also, what a beautiful symbolism did we see today, Mahi sitting on her prayer mat and praying for His blessings and the very moment Farhad steps in her doors and she raises her sight towards that direction where he was standing, it only meant that his come back in her life is only to snatch away her miseries and her suffering, and did it already start? Oh boy it did, her mother in law already is softening, she is getting herself used to with the kids, slowly and gradually Mahi's torn life is getting a new hope and new direction. Do I love this developments, yes I do, because even if he could not be the man whom she would love, he will definitely be the man whom she will always remember as the only one in her happiness and in her grief, this will happen soon and he will make sure it happens, if he can melt at Romana's tears, then this is Mahi, the woman who made him abaad and barbad at the same time, and the entire scenario now only indicates that he is never going to want her back in his life, but Mahi will (I still feel she will want him back and I could be wrong though)
Farhad, is it only me, or did it look like Farhad became a bit more normal now, he still looks devastated but I could still see a little glimpse of old Farhad in him, that subtle stubbornness, that audacity to refuse to go anywhere (because simply he does not care), that disinterest in his face even after he went there and prayed, I loved all of it, this has been the most human he behaved post the disaster of a heart break. What i liked the most is he absorbs everything the Fakeer baba says, for example when Fakeer said 'Aashiq never forgets the dehleez of mehboob' and how 'true love never dies' and everything about mohabbat and aashiqi, Farhad very quietly absorbs it and flushes it out of his sane system in order to embrace his self isolation, it makes me believe that even though traumatized, he does want to forget the past, he does want to forget the humiliation, but the universe conspires to remind him about all this, otherwise first Romana and now Fakeer baba, if everyone around him starts talking about Love, loss and heartbreak, how will he stop relating himself to this mess? Isn't it just fair on his part if he still keeps pining about the humiliation, since not even the strangers let him forget how unlucky he has been at God's door when it comes to beg for love? I liked the attention to small details when it comes to Farhad, such as him being very confused when Fakeer asks him to tag along for the haveli visit and subsequent dua, he is rightfully confused and asks like why me? And then even denies to go signifying that no way he is in any mood to go all saint mode and neither he wants to, for once thanks to the writer here that unlike how people believed, Farhad himself is no way believing that he is going to be some epitome of dua/baddua, neither he considers prayer as anything integral at this point, the crux of his ishq e haqiqi is not his heart break but something else and I know that is only Mahi's suffering and not his own, as much as beautiful it sounds in my head, I hope the execution is done well too.
Also, once Farhad reaches the haveli, he looks disinterested but subtly mellows down when Amma sai was begging for prayers and whining about her state, I felt like when Fakeer sai tells Amma sai that 'we human beings are very ungrateful and does not see the blessings we have in front of our eyes', it was meant for both Farhad and Amma sai, the very reason even Farhad kind of raises his sight for a second and simultaneously Amma sai also gets confused.
I have no words about Sikka here, the most spineless and stupid man, why cannot he just say that he is scared? Like what does he want? He does not promise Romana anything but is happily with her even after knowing that how desperate and weak she has become in his love that she is literally begging to be his house maid, WTF is wrong in this equation? Romana has no spine, and a part of that is rooted form the fact that she is bazaru and she is made to believe that nobody will respect her, but Sikka, what is this bechara face everytime anyone asks him about the reality? I will puke if he indeed agrees to marry Mahi while being with Romana, jagirdari ka true face is so much hypocrite 🤢
Last but not the least, Fakeer baba saying Amma sai that I will ask for something when the right time comes, it makes me believe that it will be Mahi's love for Farhad, Mahi running in happiness in white dress was only to welcome Farhad, the delusion might just become real guys, the poetic justice that jiss Taimoor ke liye Farhad was rejected and called worthless, that Taimoor's family and his widow will be desperately asking to have Farhad in their life, I likes it, Hashim Nadeem better not disappoint in this aspect.
Next episode teaser is a blast though, finally conversations happening, like Farhad is talking with characters, I always loved KAM3 because the leads would have subtle but great conversations with people they confide in, be it Mahi-Sahiba, or Farhad-Dilawar, seems like we will have FeeRom who will massage each others' bhikhari minds 🤪and then we have Fakeer baba who will try to trigger the Multan's Farhad to unleash the Lahore's Farhad in him😎, I swear it is going to be a blast with Amma sai also mellowing and Mahi Rani literally having no inhibitions to meet and greet her aashiq
