Different is good imo. It should be shown too. But cliches arent necessarily always bad. Unless its toxic tropes. Those are cliches that should be left behind.

Imo except for verryy extreme cases..tropes themselves aren't toxic. You require a proper redemption track or a "lesson learnt" track but tropes are necessarily toxic by themselves.

Different is good but that doesn't mean cliches are bad yr. Take novels only...i hear so many digs about wattpad and fan fiction every single day on booktwt and yet every year 1-2 writers on an avg get published from wattpad.
