Manoj Bhau, let's try and take a live example.

BARC has 44,000 meters in the country. Assuming an average household size of 4, it uses 176,000 people in the country to represent what the entire country watches.

If 500 meters tuned to watch KKB between 9 and 9.30 (for simplicity's sake, let's assume they didn't switch to any other channel, and let's assume KKB airs only once in the entire day), what would the TRP be?

500 meters from 44,000 would represent 1.14% watching

For more simplicity, let's also assume that all the 44,000 meters were watching some kind of TV for that time frame.

its not the meters but impressions that are recorded

to make it simple

TRPs are calculated using the denominator of the total target audience, and the numerator as the total impressions delivered to this audience x 100. (As in 1,000,000 impressions among the target audience ÷ 10,000,000 people in total in the target audience x 100 = 10 TRPs)

so current kkb rating is 1.7 right it means 1.7% of the viewers from the sample set watched

Regional ka I guess they calculate by minutes of watching a show. Like they have ratings of 19+ in some states so I guess 25 mein mein viewers tuned in for 19 mins. If I remember I think old trp system was same too idk why it changed. Maybe due to dish/new cable stuff.

The show is below average. I don't even know why do I watch it

And now they have made beauty win over brain. Devi chose Paxton's face over smarty Ben. I am not surprised. Girl is dumb anyway.
