This is probably the second thread made for the same topic. I find the criticism here more driven against the character than the action itself. How are Sai's actions isolated from the rest of the behavior? The gross generalization of Kaku and Sai being the same is absurd. If she actually wielded the power Kaku as a matriarch holds in CN, she wouldn't have ever been taunted or humiliated. She would have had an easy life in CN. Kaku dominates everyone literally. Nobody dares to speak against her. She is evil. She almost committed honor killing, kidnapped her own SIL, drugged and abused her own daughter. How is Sai and Kaku equated. Having certain similar characteristics is different. Here she is outright called to be a kaku in the making. How can Sai be Kaku ever? You comparing an action of hers to vilify and equate her with evil kaku. That's a problematic analogy. Tell me one good quality in that woman. There are none. Sai can be adamant at times but that doesn't mean she is evil or dominating like Kaku. Most importantly if sai actually wielded the power she would have been thrown out at midnight.
I disliked how Sai insisted Pakhi attend despite her refusal. I don't know if it's right or wrong. It varies from person to person. She had no malicious intentions. So for me, she is not wrong. Whenever Pakhi, Vitrat or Kaku used force with Sai they all had ill intentions and committed ethical wrongs. Merely isolating a handhold and passing judgments on right and wrong is something I cant do. I will refer to the context.
They are a joint family. They harp on joint family values, accomodating everyone, being together always. Not that I support any of these but Sai is always told by Virat and CN wasis to learned to adjust in a joint family. She is excited about her birthday and overwhelmed. She went and did zidd to kaku and Ninad, similarily she wished for Pakhi to come. I disliked her going there and acting extra sweet to Pakhi- but that is Sai's character, right? If Pakhi will act vile, hurt, and angry because her ex is celebrating his wife's birthday, Sai is the one who will try to be accommodative and compassionate to others. This inherent goodness in her is not a flaw. I disliked her pulling Pakhis hand. Period. But look at the reaction. It wasn't a mere jerk. It was a forceful push. She lost her balance. She didn't help her get up. She was worried about what Virat will think. Pakhi is an evil character. She definitely is free to choose but advocating for her by vilifying Sai and comparing her to Kaku is absurd.
Again, for me, she isn't wrong. The wrongs in the show for me are abuse, manhandling, ousting, honor killing, kidnapping, and many more. A harmless courteous gesture blown out of proportion is baseless. Moreover, Pakhi preaches Sai on adjusting and accomodating in a joint family. She says there are some rules. What are the double standards with staying away from the function? Let she taste her own medicine
Edit- I just watched the segment where Sai is bleeding and crying. Bhad me jaye Pakhi ki freedom to choose right now. If she sticking on like a leech with zero self-respect and pines on to her devar shamelessly I am not going to be worried about her lack of interest in a birthday party. She is a despicable character for abusing a teenager. For me, her choice wasn't violated or forced. She refused, she jerked too when Sai pushed her. I am concerned about the pain she caused Sai. If she is angry and think Virat wronged her she should take it out on VIrat
