But he tried that with calls and messages but she never replied.

Forget Ishqaan- any couple when the spouse disappears without informing and is gone for 12 plus hours and returns late at night without any response to your calls / messages etc earlier , I think the reaction was justified. Especially knowing this person doesn’t work and only had one relative to go to, one would be worried sick. Id be livid if my spouse did that.
