Niraja you put it all in words in a beautiful way..I mean literally the same I felt on seeing my Sai doll feeling alone on her birthday with no one to wish her or remember her special day. All through Sunday I kept wondering what fun would be there in surprise party if the girl actually goes through pain and disappointment for not having her Aba around and no one not even her Virat Sir could remember the day and wish her. Ofcourse because of Neil I was able to let go off my mood and enjoyed the moments. Ayesha is awesome. She just lived Sai heartbroken and sad for not being the Sai Joshi Of Gadchiroli who had her Aba with her.

The blood relation part,I really agree with you. However close I am to my spouse and in laws I still have that special bond with my parents and siblings. Sai is not having any such khoon Ka Rishta to claim as her own. Like you I also wanted to hug her and tell we all love you darling happy birthday..

Not even want to talk about Virat holding Didi’s hand. Yes it is not needed.

But Virat taking liberties with Pakhi's (by grabbing her hand) is definitely problematic....no genuine person in their right mind would do this to an ex let alone an obsessive, delusional one...this scene on top of the KKHH scene that was so repulsive. Some people feel Virat is two-timing - enjoying the attention of two women. The audience knows that Virat has feelings for Sai, but what can we make of these disgusting scenes except take them at face value?

I really don't know what is the purpose is such scenes? I hope makers realise that it makes Virat look very bad.

Like I said in my other post, I agree that the hand-holding was really unnecessary in today's episode. He could have whispered those same words to her without grabbing her hand. But, I think it is quite an exaggeration to say that he is two-timing based on this one scene, especially because we have seen him openly tell Sai that he doesn't care if Paapi eats or not, and we have seen him refusing to get help from Paapi/not letting her touch him after he got back from the hospital. These are just two examples. It is very clear that Virat only cares about Sai- we even heard these explicit words in the wall-pinning scene. I agree that his history with Paapi made the scene uncomfortable to watch, and trust me, I did not want to see it either. But, I personally would not look so deep into it. He just wanted to tell her to shut up and not ruin the surprise for his wife.

Good post, well summarised.

The episode did make is go aww for Sai. Poor girl. She very much deserves lots of love from the family she has now. Hope she gets them all soon.

The hand holding scene definitely was not needed. Virat got too excited with his plans and forgot his limits. But there's no way his intentions were impure. Let's hope he makes up for this by showing her right place when she dares to hurt Sai like shown in the precap.

In some prior scenes we saw that- where in front of everyone he does not allow pp to help him even when he was stumbling from the stair. Infact he even looked at Sai and shared a nod with her when sonali kaku deliberately came in between him n Sai to hold him and guide him to sofa when he came back from hospital. To see that same guy, hold pp's hand so "casually" to shut her up is just a little disconcerting to watch. Its as if makers and director forgot what pp-virats equation is. Its not like pp is really his bhabhi or friend. If he had done this exact same scene with karishma instead of pp where karishma in her "jealousy" of Sais attention had tried to ruin the surprise, then no one would bat an eyelid. If he held Karishmas hand to just signal her tp shut up- no big deal. Because their relationship is different from virat-pp.

And the saving grace is that Sai didn't see it. Because she would've been very hurt. But the hand holding did catch karishma-sonalis eye and just like us audience they definitely saw the significance of that minite physical contact. Coz they like audience know how pp acts/feels. So they know that just a hand hold to shut her up from ruining his surprise for his wife is also enough for her to build castles in air, for her to feel "haq" on even him as friend. But she has ZERO haq on him..not even as his bhabhi because she doesn't behave like one.

Bolded- I just used that example in another post to show that Virat has resisted Paapi's touch before. I think it is pretty clear to us as the audience and the family at this point that Sai matters most to Virat. He only loves Sai. He even said it in his wall-pinning monologue (that he only cares for Sai), and he have seen and heard it 100 times since. That is why I did not mind the scene from that perspective, because it is clear that it was not romantic or other intentioned at all from the point of view of Virat. I don't think he necessary thought it through, and he just grabbed her hand as an impulse to make her shut up. I think he would have done the same if it were Kaku or Karishma too. But, I agree with what you are saying, because from the point of view of Paapi, of course it meant something. That is why they showed her looking down when Virat grabbed her hand, and Karishma noticed it too, so there was significance there- I agree. But, I think Karishma's comment was more directed at what Paapi is going to do (or think) now than Virat.

Anyways, I am with you in that the hand hold was completely unnecessary. This is yet another moment of reckless show-making, just like the hug scene that was interrupted on stage. It is unfortunate that these things keep on happening, but I don't think we should let these small moments get to us.

Exactly this. Virat's intentions were pure. He just wanted to make Paapi shut up and not ruin the surprise. There were not other motives on his point. He is for sure going to go off tomorrow when Paapi hurts Sai. Sai is the only one who matters to him now.

Lovely Neerja as usual❤️

The way you showed Sai's feelings👏

That's actually very true.

I might be the only one who hates the concept of 12:00 AM birthdays wishes disturbing someone's sleep as well as surprise birthday parties. I mean poora din kisi ka khoon jalao aur raat ko 5 minute ke liye gao happy birthday to you. Not my cup of tea. It's so awful for me.

But I know Sai will be happy😆

And as far as her tacky dress and accessories are concerned, I guess it's because she is still a kid at heart who likes candyfloss and raste ki chaat. Hence the tiara and stuff.

So I guess, Virat did everything that could keep the child in her happy.

Baki, I haven't seen the episode so...😆

I agree completely. Thats why i wasnt as put off bu this scene as the kkhh thing during hug. That scene made me cringe. Because it was Sairats first hug and pp's contribution to the devi hariner reunion was just doing what she was asked to. The person who conceptualized it and took it to fruition was Sai. So to see Virat ruin their first hug to hold pp's hand then was absolutely disgusting, cringey. This time round i honestly didn't find it "distasteful" like that scene, infact I didnt even notice bgm n all. But it still did enough to make me want to feel like pausing and slapping his hand away before he held pp's hand and be like- joh bolna hai, bina haath chu kat bolo. And i also wish that his khus phus to pp had been done more "angrily" . Here it feels like hes giving her benefit of doubt for "unintentionally revealing surprise" whereas it is 100% obvious that it is a deliberate sabotage attempt. I mean karishma and Sonali- both the Foot in mouths, bk, ninad, omi are all playing along even though they dont like Sai but pp is such a b**ch she cant stfu. So virat should've been more pissed. He should have actually said the words "shut up, please dont ruin the surprise" or "please apna muh band rakho or meri Sai ka surprise kharab mat karo"

Nice post as always!!!!!! ❤️

Tbh I have a good filter when it comes to Paapi I don’t comprehend her scenes they are seen and forgotten……issue lies with the editing team mostly today but tbh we are at what, episode 242??? Vanku won’t ever change with his Paapi obsession, so I just ignore things. Not worth burning my blood over his stupidity 😆

I hope that Virats reaction to see Sai hurt that too on her birthday because PP cant stop being a frickin b**ch is not too underwhelming. I really want to see his rage at how she dared to hurt his wife, his precious Sai..

I am with you. Their first hug and him grabbing Paapi's hand- I will never have anything to defend that moment. It was maybe one of the cringiest moments in the entire show to be completely honest from my perspective. But like I said, this time, the hand holding had no significance from Virat's perspective. Of course, I would have preferred for him to talk with her in a more annoyed tone and tell her to shut up. She is literally the most vile human being ever. But, I think the tone in which he was talking was just a reflection of how excited he was for Sai's birthday, and that carried over into the way in which he spoke to Paapi. He was not trying to be extra nice to her or anything like that...it was a similar tone that he used when Paapi tried to taunt him by saying that he will always defend Sai, and he, in an excited voice, was like "yes, thank you for telling everyone." We will see pissed Veeru tomorrow. Don't worry. There will be no excuse for Paapi pushing Sai like that, and his rage will come.

All in all, I agree with everything you have said. I just will focus on the fact that his intentions were pure and he did not have any ulterior motives in appeasing Paapi or trying to undermine what he was doing.
