I personally don't like having Desi food at restaurants but if it's street food, or vegetarian or South Indian then I would love to try it. Basically, food that I can't get at home or is from different regions and I haven't tried yet then I am game. Something like experiencing an authentic thaali or dosa would be great. I would expect better from Sanjeev Kapoor. There's a Khazana close by so was wondering about it while The Yellow Chilli seems to be located 25 minutes away which I had no idea was a thing.

Downtown has a lot of good places if you can find them. Oh is Rusi gone? Damn. That was expected. They got all their business from King Street and the financial sector has been closed down for 16 months. I wonder what else we've lost...I should go back to work but it's still voluntary so I don't feel like traveling. 😆

Vegetarian. I don't eat fish or chicken, but I'll eat egg in my meals. Makes it a bit easier when I go for Thai, Sri Lankan, or East Asian food.

So many places in Downtown that you just don't know which one to bet on. I always get so confused on which one to step into.

On one hand places are closing down while on the other so many new places have opened up in my city. Don't travel if you don't have to. I wouldn't do it until 2022. My work is about to open up in stage 3 so I have no options but to go. However because I recently finished school I will be switching industries for my main job and go freelance in my old profession.

If you can eat egg, it does make things easier when it comes to Asian food. Have you tried Dukbokki at Nak Won or anywhere else? What about the Korean pancakes? Oh and kimchi is always a must but they always give that on the side with so many other things.

Yes same here. I like to try new cuisines mostly and even in desi food there is so much varieties that there is always something new but yeah I usually am not too excited to try what I usually eat at home :)

Yeah I was bit disappointed by SK restaurant May be expectations were too high because it’s the Sanjeev kapoor restaurant :)

Agreed. I'm not traveling until 2022 either.

My work is also forcing us to come back. I wonder if there's something we can do about that. They want us back 3 days a week in August and 5 days a week September onwards. I would rather they have made it voluntary going forward. Obviously 16 months has proven that work is done and done well. I'm looking to move out and into a different company. One that respects the learnings that come out of WFH.

I love kimchi! So tasty. But it only works with some foods. Not everything.

I am not a fan of Priyanka, but I have to give it to her. She has made a name for herself in a huge way outside of Bollywood. Even if it wasn't through films in HW, but through her connections, alliances, talk show appearances. She's an amazing socialite I believe, wow.

Just wondering where is your Nukkad? In NJ, Pani puris are 1/3 of Sona Restaurant around $8 at Mithaas

And I actually avoid all these Fusion Restaurants be in Junoon or Sona. It's not only the price, even the portions they serve are notoriously small. More like a taster's plate. Not only do you pay more but you also starve. We pay for dining in the city that's what it is. Having said that Bhatti used to be extremely good and very well priced. Awadh too is supposed to be good.

My nukkad is in India. Here we easily get golgappa plate which has 5-6 golpappas in Rs 30-50 price range. Dine-in restaurants will have higher price.. But golgappa are proper street food aski maza street par hi aata hai

Totally agree with what you have written in bd part. Fusion resturants arent worth it.. authentic food for the win.
