Hey Harshu… I think Anokhi applied for TA - Teaching Assistantship, where you can assist and support the main teacher/ professor by either grading or helping your peers or junior students with explaining stuff, discussions and all.

Closest we can relate to might be an intern maybe?

Usually I have heard of this in Masters par undergrad mein bhi hote honge shayad. Primary/ elementary schools in US have these too and sometimes are unpaid or voluntary positions.

She finished second year, so her third year would be her final year. And she applied for a campus job from my understanding. As for teaching assistant, in the US it’s someone in a master’s program that generally does it, but that could be different in India.

From my understanding as well, you need a master’s to be professor but Anokhi isn’t talking about that yet. I can see why she might want to be one in the future since her guru and husband are both professors.

See in engineering, MTech students of the college take classes of BTech students as temporary faculty.. I think they get lab marks from it as well..

So, I assume what she means is after her graduation, during her PG she will be be a temporary faculty for graduation students??

You can become a teacher easily if you have the degrees and knowledge but to become a professor, it's very difficult... Professorship is way higher and is a privileged job than a teacher and to become a professor of prestigious universities like SIAC or for that matter any normal university even, you have to compete for competitive exams like UGC JRF NET and clear it... Otherwise it's too difficult!

But still if you want to become a teacher @ good schools, you need to at least be a graduate or complete your B.ed. You just can't apply for Professorship if you are not doing Masters! Professorship requires MA degree, while Teacher/Teaching doesn't require any special degree. Writers should do a bit of research!?

P.S - you can correct me if I'm wrong!

I don't want Anokhi to become a teacher, I want her to go for something bigger! I want her to compete for competitive exams like IAS/UPSC or crack UGC .... This is too small a thing for a girl with big dreams.

She applied for TA (teacher’s assistant) position.

I’m not sure about rules in India. But here in North American colleges/universities you can apply for TA position if you are in your final year or if you doing masters. So the job description for TA position is checking exam papers, assist professor in admin work, mentor/tutorst first year students, monitor students during exams that they are not cheating etc. These jobs are usually part-time job. So anokhi can handle house hold responsibilities, school and work, I don’t know what’s the fuss about in sab house lol

Teaching assistant is different from professor. Professor as a title comes with lots of hardwork and qualifications. But teaching assistant is mostly to assist professors with teaching related tasks, including teaching some of their class.

I wouldn't mind Anokhi being Teaching assistant since someone did say she wanted to be like Astha who is in the profession. But why always link yourself with SIAC, it's sad that they keep showing Anokhi's life revolving around SIAC and opportunities provided by Saberwals. To me that reduces her authenticity as a person and her capabilities and achievements can easily be judged by her - exactly like Kitty Bebo. But she is NOT like them, she has her own Anokhi identity.. Her achievements are her own. And that's where she has to prove she is Anokhi and capable of getting anywhere. Since precap did not clearly show if it's talking about SIAC or elsewhere.. I am still hoping it's something Devi came to know from somewhere else about their university.

For once I would like it if they showed anokhi applied for job somewhere else maybe even competitive collage and sabharwals getting pissed that she applied outside of SIAC. 😂😂

in us, if you have finished a subject or semester you can apply to be a TA for that course or a professor. you do not have to finish the degree. seems like in india also its the same

In my country If you pass your degree with 1st class or second class upper you can work as a instructor at the university....to become a university lecturer you need to complete master's....

I really don't like Anokhi to work at SIAC at least until she complete her studies...

Yes they show anokhi in 2nd year even when alok changes her exam date it was 2nd year.

Well I guess they wana show anokhi getting a job before and finishing her study before show is going off air...with a very heavy heart

I am not feeling the show anymore after that off air news. Just ruin my mood I didnt even visit the forum for 4 days. I become slient.

I will miss our 18+ conversation and long long thread. I had great time here.😭
