I think the director was checking the texture of the saree since its synthetic, it makes it easier to slip the hold when Sai tried to hold her the first time. I think he was commenting to Sai about the texture so he is aware while holding her.

But yes I saw that it made Shivi uncomfy....also like how much trust and partnership is there between SaiShi..its not easy to jump backward like that trusting someone will hold you..and he has to balance her jump correctly.

Btw she was surprised he could hold her so high...she said can you hold me this high and he said yeah of course.

I think the fabric of the saree, chhiffon I guess, was not the best one for a lift scene because it slips..that's what they were talking about..I think Sai, "chalega" something like that...in the sense they will manage.
