I don’t know, they are just dragging it a lot and also keep spoiling everything time and again. I have been watching from the start, mainly from the part where Sai and Virat meet at GC. The GC episodes and the episodes after their marriage were too good. I think things went downhill since the ousting track. The worst part is they copy almost everything from KD, but they change a few things in Ghum. They cut down some nice Sairat scenes which were really good in KD, add their creativity when it comes to Pakhi, such a big put off actually. The way they show Virat at times, it has become too difficult for me to be able to appreciate him or his actions. I should have known that it was a copy paste from the start and the Ghum I started fo watch ended long back. Makers are experts in character butchering, they butchered Sai by making her tell lies, they butchered both of them by making them whitewash Kaku and gang. There is so much more. I had plans to watch only until confession, but looking at whatever has been happening or about to happen, I am wondering if I would stay back that long.
I agree with you about the beginning episodes. Those were something else- some of the best television I have EVER seen. The way the writers developed SaiRat's relationship was truly on another level. Regardless of what others say, I truly believe that SaiRat fell in love with each other the day they met each other. Not the romantic kind of love, but the kind of love that made them feel for each other, care for each other, and understand each other. You could just see it in their eyes from the start. And those moments after marriage in which we saw them pour their hearts out to each other... it was impossible not to feel and cry with them.
I have not seen KD in too much detail, and there is also the language barrier for me, because it is not in Hindi. But from what did understand, SaiRat's relationship does not even come close to comparing to that show's leads. Yes, it's mostly copy-pasted, but those few original moments, and more importantly, the expressions and love and emotions in SaiRat's eyes is wayyyy more than I ever saw in KD.
I get you about the ousting track. I was so disappointed, especially after the "you are my family" scene after the Pulkit kaand. That scene was honestly maybe my favorite scene of this entire show- it is what really sold it to me. The pain in their voices, the love in their eyes... it was just magical. And the next day, when Virat immediately let go of Sai's arm, remembering what he had done. It was simply beautiful. Then, to see that he treated her so poorly yet again, it was really sad. But, again, they showed the redemption so wonderfully. When he talks to the KJ doll, you can really feel his pain and his realization for what he has done. I think what has kept me glued to this show is that both Sai and Virat have their faults. They can be attributed to age, maturity, upbringing, and also just circumstances. But, at the end of the day, they are connected to each other through thick and thin. They always find their way back to each other. There are certainly toxic elements to their relationship, but I believe that every relationship has its faults... it is what you do in response to mistakes that shows your true character.
At this point, Virat has disrespected Sai in unacceptable ways two times. I am worried about how the writers will handle the character assassination and suicide attempt track of KD, mainly because I think that it will completely butcher Virat's character if they choose to blindly copy-paste. The Virat we see today would never even think of hurting Sai so deeply, no matter how impulsive he is. He has developed and fallen in even more love with Sai since the ousting incident.
I guess we will have to just wait and watch to see what happens.
