Thanks and please don’t take my opinion and alter your views on the characters. I am just putting it out what I felt. I did like the KD story so hoping to see the same here. If we keep the momentary confusions aside, I am glad we signed up for a good show with great leads!
I personally didn't like Rono's character at all. There was the language barrier for me because it wasn't in Hindi, so maybe that was part of it. But, I just felt like he didn't show his feelings and often times came across as indifferent towards not just his wife, but also the other characters. On the other hand, I can literally see the love pouring out of Virat. In fact, while I was first drawn to the show because of how realistic Sairat's relationship progression was and how natural their chemistry was, what sealed the deal for me was the "you are my family scene." In that scene, even though Sairat weren't in love in the romantic sense per se (although sparks were already there), you could sense and feel every single one of their emotions...you could feel how deeply Sai was hurt and how much Virat regretted hurting her. You could see the redemption in his eyes, especially the next day when he grabbed her arm and immediately let it go, remembering what he had done to her and how much he had pained her.
After that, Virat did the other kaand of throwing Sai out of the house in the middle of the night, and everyone erupted. Rightfully so. What he did was absolutely unacceptable. But, even when he was kicking her out of the house, you could see how much it was hurting HIM. His expression was one of anger, but also one of pain... and again, the redemption was done so beautifully. When he cried, we cried with him. One scene that stood out in particular was him talking to the KJ box Sai gave him... he acknowledged how horrible of a person he was towards Sai...and of course the GC scene was heartbreaking, because you could see the love in both of their eyes...
Despite how Sairat's relationship started, they have cared for each other since the moment they laid eyes on each other. The connection has always been there. Despite all the talk about zimidari and vaada to paapi, Sairat have always been connected.... and we have sensed and felt that from the episode in which they first met. To me, they are soulmates in a way that the KD leads never were. They are on another level.
And since the ousting kaand has happened, we have seen their relationship grow and progress in a way that is completely different than KD. Rono was never this in love... Virat is full blown whipped for Sai. I personally feel that at this point, it would be completely out of character for Virat to accuse Sai on cheating on him and for Sai to then attempt suicide. Yes, Virat has changed a lot and is madly in love, but he is also insecure and unsure of how Sai feels about him, just like Sai is too. This will always be a barrier in their relationship until the confession happens, because even though they can see the love for each other in their actions, they can never put it into words and they avoid talking about it...using zimidari, etc etc to get out of those conversations. And, a part of Virat's character is also his impulsivity and he has his patriarchal tendencies, which I attribute to his upbringing. So, a misunderstanding a blown up fight... I will gladly accept. If anything, it will only make their bond stronger. But, him character assassinating Sai will simply not make any sense.
