No I’m not talking about the colour, I know arabs wear white gowns in their weddings. There’s no set colour for our weddings. It’s the whole the molvi standing like a priest, by the way, if the couple was not Muslim , yeah sure, I’m all for it, but if it’s a Muslim family, we have our own way of doing it.

You would’nt see a wedding scene in Hollywood like ours now would you, unless they show two people from different cultures getting married. They stick to their way, we are the ones so influenced by everything,

Arabs wear white, but it’s not done this way. In the conservative arabs, the women are totally secluded from the men and that’s why they wear very pretty gowns.

Arab women wear more revealing clothes even in the house because no na mehrams are allowed.

In Arab wedding the groom enters alone in the women side after the Nikah and all the other ladies other than the bride cover up in their abayas. All lights are turned off also, only one left on which is where the bride sits.

Just heard the OST and liked it! Something very catchy about it!👍

The leads have chemistry, but have never watched their work before (the guy though seemed familiar)..he is the guy who played OKB’s dad in DED, I think...

Not sure how many people here have watched “Bandish Bandits”, a fine series on Amazon Prime!👌

Mentioning it here, since I found this OST to be strongly inspired (read: rip off) of BB’s soundtrack, especially the fusion bit of the male classical rendition!!

Don’t know if this drama is also on similar lines, but didn’t expect HUM to be so blatant about plagiarism...at least they could have given due credit!

Moreover, most OSTs of Pak dramas are gems in themselves...this was definitely not required!

It is. Arab women wear the most fashionable clothes. Because no na mehrams are allowed in their sections. From the maids to waitresses to photographers, all are women. Under the abayas are amazing outfits.

They also have the kinkiest lingerie 😆

They have to keep the husbands happy, tough competition between the wives.

I will check it out. Didn’t watch BB so can’t say.

You must...

There is a very strong influence of the song “Sajan Bin” from BB on the entire OST...it’s clearly an “inspiration”!

I think it depends. I've been to a wedding where the set-up of the Nikah was very gorafied (for lack of a better word). It was pretty awkward. Afterwards one of the grooms aunties actually said 'I was scared they might do the whole you may kiss the bride bit', lmao. Thankfully they didn't go that far.

The bride and the groom were both of Pakistani heritage as well.

Yes I know what you mean. It’s sad we are so easily influenced by other cultures. Desi’s living in the west like us do try to blend both cultures, but I don’t get why a wedding, set in Pakistan will be in this way. It’s not a big deal but I just feel sad about it.

The other cultures don’t give a crap about us. It’s only us who think we are inferior and we have to do certain things to look cool, example Minal Khan’s engagement.
