That channel only has dubbed or remakes now, nothing original. My amama watches that Raaga preetu serial ekdam shiddat ke saath

Same confusion, bombe's height was good, but kavita is short, he kind of matched both. So,it's confusing me😆

I didn't, mum used to.

It's not really that catchy, apart from the FL who is a bit in josh only around the ML🤪

In hindi, Virat

In kannada, Vikranth.

Chandan posted in his insta. I know him too. He did a telugu serial.

Are the chavans white-washed - as in turn into good people - in the Bengali version too?

I tend to believe that Bengali audience is a little more open-minded, therefore the need for showing hum saath saath hain must not have been there.

Yes they turned. But they're not criminals. Even in the Anirban case, they did wrong but whatever they did was justified considering the time, space and people. They're orthodox and a bit but not criminals or racist. They never called Imon with names like Chavans do. Especially in this sequence they cried for Imon and wasn't angry ar all for doing.. Chatterjees >>> Chavans any day.

They didn't turn good at one day. Kaku had genuine repentance for what she did to Kumu and Anirban but again she never let her daughter suffer so much. Even the saree drama wasn't at all that much bad nor the vaada kaand. Yes, the dialogues of Roni feeding RK were same, it never created the disgust like was that in this serial.

May be more I connected to them more due to the language and cultural relation, but yeah anyday Chatterjees > Chavans

I don’t really know much about the Bengali audience so can’t really say about that

But there was no kidnapping and all in the Bengali version there wasn’t any crime committed there.

Then slowly they all warm up to each other and they become one family

Thank you. ❤️From what you have written, Chatterjees certainly seem to be much better than Chavans. But no way they were good people either? They did manhandle Emon during Alta and Chilli grinding?Did they instigate Rono against Emon? And Bhavani did interfere between Rono's parents relationship? And did they really care for Rono at all?

Apart from the fact that the Chatterjees were orthodox, there has got to be a solid reason why Rono is the way he is. From the few scenes I saw (although I don't understand the language) - he seems to be somewhat of a loner, learnt to suppress his needs, sub-consciously imbibed abusive traits (from his father in KD too?), gets influenced by his family etc. The original does seem to touch upon these questions....but I want to know the basis upon which Rono's character and his flaws were explored in the original.

The way Chavans are written on the other hand, Virat seems to have grown up in an out-and-out abusive household.

Ignore if my question is too cumbersome. My mind always comes up with too many questions...
