Imlie's self-worth takes a hit again

The breakdown continued today with Imlie experiencing a huge blow to her sense of self-worth.....berating her very existence because she feels the label of illegitimacy will always hang over her like a dark shadow.

When Adi told her that he hid the truth also cuz her mom didn't want her to find out lest the truth broke her, Imlie lashed out ki tootat sheesha hai.......sapna toot jaata hai, patthar toot jaata hai....but she doesn't even have the right to break.....

She is now questioning her identity.....the identity she had come to find in the city but she now feels it's all a dhoka and even a paap.....cuz she has found out she is the illegitimate daughter of a man who betrayed his wife.....and worse she now has a half-sister who's husband she will be accused of stealing.

I'm still not fully clear on how Malini turning out to be her blood related sister shifts this "suhaab chheen liya" angle.....lol didn't Imlie feel all this before also ki maine Malini ko behen maana, how can I ujaado her ghar blah blah......this feels like a rinse/repeat of that TBH now.....lots of forced "suhaag chheen liya" dialogues today.

Adi for his part is feeling mostly helpless watching a shattered Imlie as she rants in despair about how no matter what she's heard about kismat ka likha etc, nothing happens as she hopes for it.....no matter what, she will be blamed and derided.....duniya ka ek jhoot uske har sach pe bhaari padega and no one will believe her truth just like no one believes her mom's truth....Dev's one lie blankets every other truth.

What a turnaround....the Imlie who was trying to uplift Nishant from despair a few days back is now fully sinking in the waves of despair again herself.....crying and lashing out that the whole world will only blame her and no one will listen to her......baaki ofcourse Didi jaap remains top of the mind as well along with the delusion that Didi doesn't know this truth yet.....lol....uska ehsaan lena baaki hai abhi Didi se.

Adi burst out by the end of the scene to shake Imlie again to remind her of why her fate will not be like that of her mom's because they will tell the truth and he will never back down from supporting her.....iske baad we got a hug which was pretty badly edited in terms of transition....oh well.....lol

So now I guess Imlie is in sadma/shock as Adi explained to Mithi also.....she is grappling with her self-worth and ofcourse the usual guilt about Didi ka suhaag chheen liya etc. etc.....Adi tried to shake sense into her in the rain but by the time they returned to the house, I guess doubts seem to have crept into him too given how he now seems to need Rupi to plead with Imlie not to leave him.....lol....

Truth. It is a commendable force in the universe. Despite its unarguable power, acceptance of truth however is not universal. The truth still mostly encounters vehement opposition because human beings in general tend to be unaccepting of something that is not open to reasonable debate.

Imlie’s parentage is a truth that has forcefully shattered her many blinders because it comes bearing so many complexities. Realizing one is illegitimate in the eyes of society can be a burden. Imlie is unable to fathom how a truth like her father’s name could create such exigent situations in her life all at once.

Her anger at Aditya was because of her disbelief at how everything associated to her can only bring grief to people around her. Hence her exhaustion. Hence her distrust over what truth even means. Hence her disbelief that no one can ever believe her truth. But overall a sense of dejection born out of deep insecurities instilled over time about being the unwanted person in every equation.

But Aditya’s constant is what is going to get her through. His single stance that Imlie is his love. His certainty that he will never leave her side is what she needs. Will it be enough for Imlie in the interim needs to be seen.

While Aditya tried to reassure Imlie, Satyakam proved himself again to Meethi. By reminding her of who Aditya is as a person and what he feels for Imlie, he diverted her to start believing in her devotion. Reminded her to believe in her faith which is Imlie’s faith too.

Rupi di did her bit by instilling some confidence in Aditya when he was at his most vulnerable.

Ab aage jaake milega humen behen prem. Mere exhaustion ke liye kuch lena padega 🤣

it was all going OK good I can take this things seem to be OK until the great suhaag cheen lia and imlie being like wow yeh naya reveal hi gaya🤣🤣 rofl I guess iske pehle doubt pe stamp.lag gaya toh she went into extra oh damn ab toh koi benefit of doubt raha hai nahi..waise toh imlie ko khush hi ho jaana chahiye ab ek aur bahana mil gaya to put a stop gate 😆

But jokes apart I was OK actually liking imlie ke genuine questions about the pehchaan her having to live with the najaayaz ka tag and self worth pe questions jaayaz tha In the face of sadma instant not being able to make sense of things.. her whole people will only accuse me and me only cas look what happened with my Amma. Her truth is now a jhoot caz she is powerless and I esp liked her pointing out the bitter truth about sach bhi jhoot padh hi jaata hai in the world we live in and giving his akbhar ka analogy ke uske bhi Naseeb main lifafa banana hi hota hai eventually.. it was all fine even if rinse repeat I could see where she was coming from yeah the hug was disjointed I felt edit flow was off with her getting up in the start too it was obvious cut there and the transition wasn't seamless but I could have lived with it until her big but suhaag cheena bit meh and that flipping a switch in adi and him reassuring her ke aisa kuch nahi hoga he is there he knows the truth and that is enough..so far so good..

But then rofl legit nothing changed when they came home they looked like a team still who have talked sorted things which was what I thought was his assurances to Amma again too in name of the mahaan Amma herself sympathizing more with the actual husband stealer then her own daughter oh the irony🤣 sab kuch jhel ke bhi she has more empathy for others great..again plz tell me how is imlie wrong then in thinking ke saara zamana hi usse galat samjhega jab uski khud ki maa is more sagi to some one else and conveniently acting as if she wasn't witness to what the girl went through and has more empathy and love for a stranger. Great and then came the biggest flip that totally ruined everything for me in face of adi rupi scene..hahaha at the very same adi who was like hum hain saath hum kuch galat hone hi nahi denge listen to me being the pillar himself needing a sahara a crutch out of nowhere no action actually causing that in him.and going oh damn humara kya hoga if imlie leaves me for malini🤣🤣 I thought you were about to fix things not.let anything happen and stand up.for yourself and your rishta this is what you told the poor.soul to encourage her. Wasn't you the one telling Amma to give imlie her space let her process she will come around which was a good advice and showed that nothing actually happened in their walk back everything is fine and genuinly into letting her process and absorb the shock that they both know they are here for each other and will stick up for each other but nope.. things happen and we are supposed to take on face value for dumb reasons OK then

I found that scene to be a totally disjointed filler.......when exactly did this Adi become his "most vulnerable" all of a sudden after having ended the rain scene from a position of pillar of strength for Imlie? 😆

LOL the forehead kiss felt like a throwback to the gunshot track wala forehead kiss in the rain.....what a stark contrast in feels though between something that is built up dhang se for a proper high point😆

As I said in the other thread too adi ke sudden vulnerability rising could have made sense in the slightest had they shown aisa kuch in between ke adi tried to talk later on and imlie snubbed ya hinted ke she is breaking off and can't be with him and all the this scene may have worked on a very superficial level.. but nah no nothing nada.. suddenly we have to give RD koi kaam other than being a party organizerd and paise poore karna hain toh let's make adi an actual darpok showing him he needs a crutch the same adi who was making bade promises to.imlie at the beginning of the episode

It is raat gayi baat gahi naya di naya several but they showed a token one line of I knew you knew sab acha ho gaya automatically

Continuing my thought from the WU thread- I see yours and NMs point because I think what They should have avoided is Adi telling Rupi - please go and talk to Imilie - they could have left it at him worrying whether Imilie will leave - that could have been tolerable.

Plus I would have liked a build up to how and when Rupi knew - but she knows now - so that’s done ha ha.

And also, I thought yeh GEHRI DOST ki khushi ke liye kuch bhi kar sakta hai.....toh phir ab kyun darr raha hai ki GEHRI DOST ki khushi ke liye Imlie ise chhod na de?😆

Oh damn yeh bhi tha.😲 amazing how I totally missed this happened..I swear I legit did not see ke yeh hua .. rofl omg I feel.like a tubelight but this is the level zoning out that started happening even if I did like the scene as a standalone to an extent

@bold: Yes, I think that would have fit better.

SK-Mithi will hang around the city to witness behen milaap I'm guessing.....and if they're lucky, full divorce drama bhi dekh kar jaayenge😆.....more chances for AC-Mithi to keep bumping into each other too.....lol

Another thing I'm just realizing.....err Mithi toh jo soche woh soche, why is Imlie still talking about "suhaag cheeen liya" when a) she's the one who married Adi first toh bhai kisne chheena?😆......and b) ermm hasn't Didi technically left her suhaag on her own to go have EMA with some other guy? 😆......I'm just going by what Adi-Imlie have been shown to know about Didi.....so what is this nonsense about suhaag chheen liya? 🤔😆
