Thought of posting this after watching today's episode. As per Vir's statements with Sakshi, he assures her again that she will continue to be his wife in the eyes of the society, mukhiyain of the village etc. On hearing this, I felt like Vir never had any plan in mind to get Purvi a social status or make her part of his life, after Sakshi's entry.
According to today's episode, I felt like he never intended to divorce Sakshi at all, never on his own. He will let go of Purvi, even though without Purvi he will feel like losing a part of himself. He admits that it is going to take him a long time be himself again.
I feel like the viewers were misled into believing he had a plan for Purvi, esp since could not live without her. Misconception was due to his words - 1st during KC night when sakshi sees them together. He tells Purvi that she will not remain molkki, and he will get her proper status. Next, he keeps assuring purvi that he will take care of the situation and to have trust in him. This he did more than once.
Plus, it is not right to show him sneaking randevous with Purvi if he wanted to remain as Sakshi's husband. All of this left us wondering why he isnt doing anything to straighten out the problem.
Purvi on the other hand has expressed how she feels about Vir and how she is stuck as the other woman in a married man's life that too as molkki. She also knows that removing herself from VPS family will heartwrenching.
She strongly feels Sakshi is the rightful wife for Vir (and ofcourse mother of kids). As a result, she is willing to do anything to make way for Sakshi's transition into the household, which now includes using Vip & Vir as collateral.😲
This is depicted very very poorly by the writers, by showing Purvi-sakshi relation as souten-behen and what not. Thus making Purvi's behavior incomprehable, callous, inconsistent, liar, cheat etc all at once. Purvi shouldn't have been shown as compromising her self-respect/digntity. That was a bad projection of her char.
Instead, if Purvi & Vir had sat down and discussed how to solve the problem quickly and agreed to part ways, no matter how difficult it would be, we would understand their motives. Plus soaps and drama go hand in hand. It is foolish of me to expect everything/everyone to act sane 😊
Overall, very very poor job done by script/screenplay writers who ended up projecting the chars in poor light.

PS: I know my analysis is a waste of time, this theory goes out the window in the very next episode, I'm sure. 😔 But just wanted to add this drop into the ocean called EDT 😊
~Ciao!
Thanks, Smitha, for taking the time to watch and give us your review.
@bold..that is the same feeling I have had too. Makes one wonder what his long-term plans are/were or if there were any at all.
I have nothing to say about Purvi.
@italics... No matter what, I will never be able to get over that. I have no words to describe how sickening it was to see them in the same frame hugging, holding hands, crying buckets.
@underlined .. Almost 40 episodes to prove that. We really did not need that many actually.
