I salute Sania Saeed for trying to be different
Always experimenting with looks ....trying to do things differently been if the same gheesi peeti storyline is given to her
I loved her in sang e Mar mar last
I want to watch this for her only like a guilty pleasure
I don't really like Sania Saeed doing dramas like this. She's far too good for this crap.
I know she's probably doing it because her options are very limited, but still.
I was originally against the Zee5 partnership because India keeps on banning Pakistani artists and content. But now I think it's actually a good thing, at least we get quality Pakistani content on that platform.
I wish Sania Saeed would do something on there.
Actresses like Sania Saeed, Marina Khan, Nadia Jamil, Nimra Bucha, Samina Ahmed, etc are wasted on TV because most dramas nowadays are cliched, OTT crap.
iis liye hit bhi hoga🤓
This drama looks very indian-ized to me. Like one character, the college principal is Ms. David who is Christian I assume n she talks like how Indian movies show Christian people from Goa talking. Atleast the comedic movies from early 2010s. Like a mix of English n Hindi/Urdu. Sayin man in that dialect n all. Idk if that is good or bad. Just a personal preference. Anyway on to the summary for ep 1
We have asma aka bilo played by hina altaf. She has a sista yasmin played by adla khan n a dad. Dad is a tailor. He used make dolls before but after his wife died he stopped. She had a terminal illness. He blames the dolls. Asma also has a phupo so a bad person like how we have evil family members in dramas. Yasmin is married to shoukat played by saleem miraj. She was married off very young on recommendation of her phupo. Shoukat is ur typical good for nothing husband. I think he hits her too, but not certain on tht. Asma keeps encouraging yasmin to get a divorce but yasmin is worried for her kids.
Asma is in final yr of her college. That is where she meets Romaan played by Ali abbas who is there to donate money on behalf of her mom played by sania saeed. The mother’s character is either some sort of supernatural being or just a nut case. I think the later😆. She is terrible to her workers n everyone beneath. She dreamt of a funeral then woke up n she went to some grave in the night n was talking to it. She hears things. In general acts crazy.
Romaan is instantly attracted to asma. He tries to get her number but she gives her dads 😆. I felt the embarrassment from my screen. Anyway we also see awan played by azfu. He is already on wheelchair n acting crazy, violent. He feels romaan stole his mom. He keeps telling his mom, she is not his mom, romaan isn’t his brother. Idk if there is a step mother angle. He says nobody cares for him etc. first scene of awan was him lying on the floor upside down. It was great.
The asma’s sister story n in general her side of the story seems subpar. The Romaan, his mom n awan seem interesting.

In this exact scene my dad was like "Why do they always show Christians talking like they cant speak Urdu" 😆. They really stereotype.
The first episode was fine. I think there's potential but at the same time, it seems like it's gonna feel endless if a 1-story show drags for 30+ episodes. Asma's sister's story is so useless and not essential to the story.

I do find it borderline offensive. They r stereotyping people. Which is not right. Just because a person is of certain religion doesn’t mean he/she must speak a certain way.
Thanks for reviews
