Ved's such a smart antagonist, I love it. Anyone else playing Raghav like this would have been a disservice to Raghav's character. But his childhood best friend and former confidante and business partner knowing exactly what buttons to push is perfectly logical.
Vijay is absolutely to blame for all the chaos in the family. Such a problematic dude, he's not even a good person, far from being a good father. In fact, I'd go right ahead and call him downright abusive, and I wrote at length about his abuse of Pallavi yesterday. We've seen him not take Nikhil seriously. Sharda told us that his relationship with Mandaar was strained. He treats his wife and brother like crap. Pata nahi kis baat ka ghamand hai? Na business sambhaal saka, na parivaar.
You know, that shot of a scared Amrutha hiding like a little girl behind Pallavi when Sulochana was beating her, it's etched in my mind. Pallavi really lost an opportunity to get through to her that night, by taking such a preachy approach. I think they're developing her gradually to shift positive- trying to stop Vijay on his feet washing thing, telling Sulochana to stop plotting already, bonding with Milind, and her retort to Mansi today. I believe they might be taking the immature and selfish, but good at heart route with her and I'm all for it.
The chronology of Ved-Mandaar-Raghav-Pallavi is so messy now. Ved knows Mandaar, Raghav may or may not. Ved recognized Mandaar's mom, but not his wife, or their house, or DSE. Ved was arrested 7 years ago and in jail till this year, Mandaar married Pallavi and died two years ago. And somehow an imprisoned Ved knows more about what happened than Raghav? I'll be so pleasantly surprised if they can give a narrative that joins all these together without any chronology loopholes, so let's see.
