The writer is woke af. All the points mentioned are explained so well. Apparently they are UK's one of the biggest media portals. SaiRat craze is there as well. Makers need to read this and act accordingly.

Just because we appreciated the jodi, the Sairat chemistry and catapulted them to good trps and ranking doesn't mean they dish out regressive content. It is appalling that we see no ounce of regret even by CN elders for not mistakes but CRIMES! And they take seem to have no accountability to the larger social message they send out. Normalizing honor killing, child endagering, male harassment, donestic abuse.

I really really hope they dont add insensitive handling of suicide to that list!

😱makes me wonder what have I been watching all these days?? A show that projects lack of respect for marriage and it’s sanctity, verbal abuse, domestic abuse, criminal activities by family elders in the name of family honor, an IPS officer getting harassed by his ex, him ousting his wife and finally a track leading up to character shaming and suicide attempt of a young girl, so brave, intelligent and has a very high self esteem.

@bold: we all are tolerating all this crap for Sairat. If only they wouldn't normalise all this but call it out in the show!

Loved the article. Wish the makers, creatives and the channel has read this and wish that they make changes in the script.

I PM'ed SP, Vankar and producers with link of this article but I doubt whether they (will) read it and even if they read it, if they will make changes. I'm atleast glad that the FD is calling all this out and raising their voice, most FD's are usually blinded by love for their show and won't call out such stuff.
