Both are insensitive to each other

Today was a classic case of misfiring from both ends .. as Nja .. said we needed better communication

Virat was naturally upset why Sai gave the gift away .. but he failed to see how his family was treating Sai .. she had already told him hungama , tsunami about gifts ..

Sai obviously had not taken the gift to heart .. because she probably is not in the same zone of love , attachment as virat ..so she thought better to give it to Kaku ( joint family vibes ) as for virat Kaku must be dearer to him than Sai 😂😂😂..

Virat has not been able to convince Sai .. she means a lot more to him than anybody else .. he needs her .. but is he understanding her pain that she wants to be accepted as a family in his house .. can he not see .. how cruel his family .. particularly his own father and the great Kaku is too her ..

the kind of frustration a girl might have

And then He is scolding her for chatting with friends zz yes he was jealous .. but does this girl have a let out .. I was glad she has somebody with whine she can chat even about notes .. and virat called it gossiping .. even if she was gossiping .. she needs a let out ..

tour whole family is only bullying her .. not even giving her food to eat ..

Till virat empathises and does something about Sai’s life there’s no point in expecting Sai to fall in love with virat .. it’s better to secure your heart girl ..

Sai cannot be so clueless .. that she fails to see Virat’s gift intention .. she brings out the pakhi factor ..

Today Sai also raised Sai Joshi vs patralekha Mohite Patil.. how are these folks rich .. when they make issues about expensive sari n all

And I don’t know what caste Chavan and patil belong to but Joshi are Brahmins in north India .. how can anybody call it lower caste .. Infact I feel Sai went down the caste ladder by marrying a Chavan ..

Chavhan belong to the warrior family... the Shivaji family I guess..Warrior family greater than any other.. so that way..

@msin much agree with your post! I hope all this will lead to proper progress in their relation (WITHOUT suicide). It's much needed for both, they have to sort out certain stuff.

Yes,you're right. To be honest both have feelings for each other, but none of them want to take up the initiative. Unless and until they don't be vocal there's bound to be misunderstanding. I hope Sai digs deeper about Virat's gift and realises his feelings and why he was upset with her.

Yes,I hope this track leads to progress in their relationship without suicide. Suicide is not needed to show their love for each other. They can show the progression in the relation through other means too.

Kaku once mentioned that they are marathas, not sure exactly what is the genealogy, but I am guessing they are kshatriyas (warrior class). Joshis are marathi brahmins. As far as I am aware, in olden times, the husband and wife used to work together (for example a brahmin couple would run an ashram together), so the wife takes up the husband's caste after marriage (caste was initially decided based on your karma, talents and ability, not by birth). People generally preferred to marry girls in same or "higher" caste for this reason. Although, this was the social convention, hence more acceptable. Religiously speaking, inter caste marriages, whether boy has higher caste or girl has higher caste, were allowed, hence mixed castes also exist.

Going by this logic, Chavans should have been okay with Sai's caste. On the contrary, its Sai who married in a so called "lower" caste.

So why do Chavans have a problem with her caste?

I have one theory.

Since for Chavans, everything ultimately circle backs to money. Now, traditionally speaking, brahmins used to be much poorer than kshatriyas, since they would take up voluntary poverty and all their income was used in social work, education and healthcare used to be completely free, and it was run by brahmins.

So maybe Chavans have a problem with that. Other than that, the reasons I can think of are different values, and basically different blood. Greater sense of patriotism, might be, one of the reasons (although, since it is Chakram family we are talking about, its probably the first three reasons only), but first episode I remember, Kaku said we are marathas, we can give life and take life when needed, something like that.

Now as to saree drama, I feel this is a result of copy paste business. In KD, from what I could see, they were like any ordinary family, not that rich. Here they showed that Chavans are very rich (keeping aside the miserly nature), big house and all that. So here Pakhi saying that Chavan family gave a gift according to budget and Sai wanted to give expensive gift, things like that don't make sense. If they were so hell-bent on showing the saree drama, at least they could have made it only about going against joint family rule, instead of making it about money. But they don't even care to check the content of the dialogue after translation 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️
