I am watching the old episodes again in bits and pieces and I’m still not able to wrap my head around why Riddhima saved Vansh from the gunshot the first time. It’s not like they had feelings for each other at that point

Dadi gave her a pic of ragini and her family. So she got to know Sathe wasn't actually Ragini's father, which meant Vansh wasn't lying when he said he didn't kill sathe.

That's y she felt there's more to the story and she couldn't let Vansh die without knowing the whole truth.

Oh yeah now that you mention it it does ring a bell. I didn't like that reasoning though. Also, if I'm not wrong kabir shot so that Riddhima could gain Vansh's trust? Waise I think this entire riddhima being shot plot wasn't executed well. I mean Kabir's reasoning and then riddhima's justification about why she saved Vansh wasn't satisfactory. This scene was literally shoved at that time just to kickstart RiAnsh's journey.
