See....there is no shame in not knowing a language...but atleast do not find mistakes in that language if you don't know.....imagine someone saying something in Tamil...and me knowing nothing about Tamil...make fun of them for writing wrong sentence in Tamil...now that would be so sad...🤣

Err, it's called evolution. Cultures change over time. So do traditions, especially the regressive ones - and rightfully so. It's best to embrace the change and adapt to it. No one is stopping you from practising them; however, to impose that on the others is disgusting and unacceptable.

If Hindu khatre mai hai is fear mongering then India becoming Hindu nation is also fear mongering. Anyone saying otherwise is a hypocrite.

India becoming a Hindu rashtra has been announced by the leaders of the ruling government who wield insurmountable amount of power. The fear is legitimate considering the state-sponsored atrocities against minorities, epecially Muslims.

But Hindu khatre mein is laughable considering Hindus are literally the majority and all the key positions of power are held by Hindus. It's like saying white people are under threat in America. So ridiculously funny, if not for the ugly propaganda beneath it.

Voting is always about choosing the lesser of two evils. I didn't even vote for Biden in the primaries but had to vote for him in the general election. No politician is ever going to live up to each person's perfect standards. But it's a relief to not have to worry about daily President-caused emergencies. Now I feel like I can turn my face away from politics sometimes and focus on other things.

I never believed in an open-door policy anyway. That's not possible. Kamala's parents entered the country legally. They didn't just force themselves in. There is no perfect solution. If you let all those caravans in, it's a green light for even more to come. Then they have to be provided for financially in so many ways - from public schools to health insurance to future college loans. There's only a certain amount any country would be willing to take in and the easier you make it to enter, the more people will line up so you're not solving the problem by letting them in. You're creating an even bigger one.

I'll take semi-decent human beings like Biden over the Trump Crime Family any day.

Like I said, they are aggressively stupid. So confident in their lack of knowledge.

This is not limited to India. There has been a worldwide phenomenon where intellectuals are jeered, real knowledge is called pseudo, experts are mocked, and expertise itself is dead. Every random joe thinks he knows everything on the planet. We had idiots sitting in their bedrooms bashing actual forensic teams during the SSR case. That's not to say experts aren't wrong sometimes but guess what...they're right 95% of the time. But no, every rando now wants to pretend they are equal to people who have real knowledge on a particular subject.

This!!....I don't like Biden either ....but what Trump was doing to America....people had no other choice than to vote him out and we did...Biden is not perfect but still he is much better than Trump...Trump was slowly killing America....and Modi is doing the same to India....I say..President's rule laga doh...but Modi/BJP ko nikalo..

Growing up in India no one ever talked about India becoming a Hindu nation because there was never a suggestion that Hindu khatre mein hai....how are you equating the two?? There are people who are demanding that India should be declared a Hindu nation..

That is not a degradation....that is change...sometimes its good sometimes its not....culture and traditions are all manmade....and they have to change with changing times....

I don't mind cultures and traditions changing with time, as that is a natural phenomenon. But upcoming generations are least oriented toward cultures and traditions. We as a wholesome society are failing... I dont know how to explain it.. I am not good at putting my thoughts in words.

Yeah except America is very much responsible for the people fleeing from these countries in the first place . Kamala said this on her visit to Guatemala and CIA sponsored a coup to maintain American corporate interests alive in there:
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/CIA_activities_in_Guatemala

It’s very tone-deaf of Kamala to say that to Guatemalans fleeing from the conditions that America helped in creating. US definitely has a responsibility to help fix the issues they created in first place . I absolutely loathe Trump and still think Biden was the better option but will definitely criticize Biden administration for things like this ( politics shouldn’t be a zero sum game where we can’t expect better from the people we elected).

Anyways we are better off arguing this in the CC than in this thread.

Ofcourse I know culture change over time. We should definitely get rid of regressive ones but that doesnt mean we shouldn't hold on to good ones. Where did I mention to impose cultures and traditions.. so have no idea what is disgusting or unacceptable you are talking about. I merely mentioned that cultures and traditions which made a society worth living are dying worldwide.
