I noticed something in the scene between Amma and Raghav that was subtle but left a huge impact on me. When they started playing the KGF Maa song, there was a line that came up:

Jab mein ghabraya, tab tu apnaya

Teri chunri hi saaya tha, maa

The irony is that Amma actually wasn't there for Raghav when he needed her most, when he must have been afraid and distraught, broken by what had happened to his family. She never paused to think of the trauma he must have gone through because of the deaths and her holding him responsible for them. I am glad Amma talked about how she failed as a mother as she was the first to abandon him in his bad times. If she hadn't acknowledge it, the reunion and her apology would have seemed incomplete and hollow.

And then these lines that followed that perfectly described Raghav's feelings for his mother:

Mere rag rag mein, tera naam hai maa

Tu hi mere dil ki saans ho maa

Raghav was shunned, abandoned, and ill-treated by his mother but he never stopped loving her, respecting her, caring for her, longing for her, and supporting her silently. He has said a few times that Amma was his jaan and we have seen it time and again. Even after all these years, when she came to apologize, it was as if that 17-year-old Raghav was standing where she had left him, broken, alone, and scared, and he didn't waste a second to hold her tight and bridge both the physical and emotional distance he'd struggled to close over the past decade. It didn't matter how much she had hurt him, he didn't care anymore. His pain just vanished in that instant. It wasn't Raghav coming home to his mother but Amma coming home to her son, because he had always been there, waiting for her, the Amma he had lost and who had lost herself 10 years ago. She had never left his heart and mind in a spiritual sense, and now, finally, she was here physically too.

Props to them for choosing this song for Amma and Raghav in the first place and the way they used it in this scene. It doesn't get any more perfect than this and I do hope we'll see it again in future scenes.

I just got really emotional writing this!

I have been thinking exactly this in a loop since yesterday's episode. I've also been listening to this song nonstop since a few forum members directed me to it.

Perfect song. Perfect symbolization. Perfect expressions. That entire scene was so well executed.

Your phrasing is bang on - it's like 17yo Raghav was standing there waiting for his Amma all along. He didn't even flinch before accepting her apology, and that's not because she's his mother, but because he truly loves her and cares for her and hasn't stopped since the day she left him. My heart exploded in a million pieces yesterday!

In bold is exactly the very essence of Raghav that makes him very lovable. His family can shun him, curse him, hate him but he never stops loving an caring for them. he forgets his pain and gets them whatever they want, albeit secretly. He's been their invisible protector, never faltering and the one time they end up in jail, he berates himself so greatly that he makes the greatest misjudgment of his life. Raghav never moved past the 17 year old boy, he was always stuck there, waiting....an endless wait, even if we can assign a timeline to it, 10 years is an endless wait for a boy who's hurting and pining for his mothers love. When he loses balance and falls on the table, that scene really got to me coz it felt like he's finally let go off the burden and in that process, he suddenly lost balance and cried, to the extent of almost getting another anxiety attack.

You got me emotional reading this! 🥺

That scene was just... I thought to write something about it, but then I realised I didn't have words to describe it. I can't even pinpoint what exactly it was that got to me so much, but my heart was swelling up and breaking and crying and feeling relieved at the same time — the very same emotions I suppose Raghav was going through. Ufff both the actors were simply amazing ❤️

That line you pointed out rang out to me as well in the scene, and the irony hit me too. But it was also apt bcz amma was right — for the first time since that day, she came to him as his mother. I honestly didn't think I could forgive her after how she behaved... but her apology was so genuine and heartfelt. As she confessed, I felt myself getting swept up by waves of emotion — there was no question of not forgiving.

The entire part in bold, I couldn't have said it better. Beautifully described ❤️ I'd use the clapping emoji, but I'm too emotional right now to feel anything but this ❤️

Oh Bee!

While I was able to describe the scene I wasn't able to express how it made me feel because I was overwhelmed. Your words above seem to have done that for me, so that you dear! ❤️

Even though I had hope for the reconciliation to take longer, I am glad that at least Raghav's feelings were clearly displayed. Thanks goodness for small mercies!

It was really his first scene at Amma's house when she doesn't let him pay respect to his late father that made me feel for him and get attached to him. I feel as if we have all traveled this journey with Raghav.

@bold, indeed. I didn't know about this song until I started watching this show and have loved it ever since I first heard it here. It has always perfectly conveyed Raghav's loneliness, pain, and longing for his mother.

I think a big portion of the audience, including I, probably felt their heart explode too but for a good reason for a change. It was all too much to take, and Raghav stumbling and losing his balance once the weight had been removed was the best way to show the toll it had taken on him all these years.

@blue completely agree. This makes him the remarkable man that he is, and what makes him so compelling as a tragic character of sorts. He just gives and gives and gives selflessly, leaving nothing for himself expect the pain the burdens he takes away from others. He has been weighed down by it for so long that having it lifted all of a sudden makes him lose the equilibrium he has worked so hard to maintain over the years so as not be crushed under the weight.

It has felt like an endless wait to him, indeed, and he had almost given up on being able to see it end, especially after Amma had accused him again of trapping Sanki. That the reconciliation happened so suddenly, especially when he had stopped actively trying to prove himself, just threw him off. You could see the confusion in his eyes when Amma said she'd come for him, to be his mother. He wasn't expecting anything of the sort, that his longing would be over in such a simple and concrete manner. Sigh... one of my all-time Raghav moments on the show.

Haha, we went from vibing posts to complementing ones, then 😆❤️

Even I was hoping for the reconciliation to be a slow, gradual process.. yaha pe it went up and down, swung like a pendulum, got lost in the sea before coming back on track 🤪😆 I'm actually kinda glad they got it done with, bcz they clearly intend to keep that lighthearted presence of amma intact, and it really wasn't working out with their bitter past staying unresolved in the background. I was steadily losing hope for the track, but this one scene made up for everything ❤️ Now I can finally connect to amma-Raghav interactions properly 😅

I honestly still can't pinpoint an exact moment where I started feeling for him. Maybe bcz I started watching from the oldage home scene and their RR mansion encounter. Because when I started Epi 1 after that, I realised I was already fond of this character without even being introduced to him properly 😛 I think that jacket flinging entry into RR mansion was the first moment I started feeling for him, though it was very subtle at that time. I really have no idea when that feeling got so strong 😆 One day I just suddenly realised I was in love with him 😆
