I wanted to try writing from Pakhi's POV. Please read it. Thank you all for your valuable reactions and comments on my previous OS. They mean so much to me.

Pakhi is restless. Nowadays, she is restless almost every day. But, today is too much frustrating. Mohit had got an acting offer and a hefty advance too. No, she is not restless because of it. She doesn’t care about him or his wife anyway. He wanted to take the whole family to a restaurant for a treat, but Kaku was against that idea. So, he ordered dinner from a big restaurant for tonight. No, she is not upset about that too since she is a foodie. After marriage, this is the first time she is eating outside food and so, she is very happy about it. When she took the first bite, she felt heaven. How much she missed eating restaurant food? Everyone is eating while Sai and Ashwini aunty is serving food. Shivani bua asked them also to join, but they declined saying they would eat once others were done. No, this is not the reason too. She loves the fact that Sai is going to eat only the remains of their food.
But what had upset her was the following incident.
During dinner, she saw Sai and Virat exchanging glances often. Virat held Sai’s hand while she was serving him and she smiled shyly. Day by day, Virat is getting too much bold with his wife and her blood pressure is shooting up. She wanted to drop the whole dal on their head or at least on Sai’s head.
Once Sai successfully removed her hand from him without anyone seeing it, he winked at her. She felt like punching his nose, but then worried thinking that would ruin his handsome face. Sai blushed hard and ran away to the kitchen muttering she forgot to bring the sugar. Good! She wished Sai would not come back till she finishes her dinner. Sai’s face always irritates her so much and now her bakwas too. Seriously, sugar? Before she processes why we need sugar for dinner, Virat too stood up saying he is going to drink water. When Karishma told him to drink the water kept on the table, he complained that he is feeling very hot and can be cooled down only by the ice water inside the kitchen.
Shivani bua held his hand to stop him and he gave her an angry look. Why he is getting frustrated for no reason? Nowadays, he is reacting severely for simple reasons. It seems Bua got scared because she apologized to him and stuffed his mouth with a large piece of paneer paratha saying that was his favorite. He rolled his eyes and ran away to the kitchen. Why he is behaving weirdly and why Karishma is winking at Mohit? She too wants to follow them, but could not do so because after Sai’s tamasha on that day people had started to notice all her expressions and activities. Hence to avoid unnecessary attention, she resumed eating dinner silently. She needs to keep her moves subtle if she wants to stay in this house with Virat.
She never knows that paneer paratha is Virat’s favorite dish. But, since she knows now she decided that no one should eat any more of those other than them. Hence, she took the paratha plate to her side and counted silently. It had only five parathas now. She took three from them and kept two for Virat. She closed the plate with a lid and kept it to her side. She hoped that no one would ask for it before he comes back. She planned to offer the parathas to him once he returns. She gets very minimal chance to communicate with him nowadays.
She could not help but check the kitchen door every five seconds awaiting his arrival. She wanted him in her sight always when he is at home. Paratha tasted good. She decided that paneer paratha is her favorite dish starting today. Oh, Virat! Only if he knows the sacrifices she is doing for him.
She had completed two parathas before they came out. Yes, they came together, and that too with empty hands. No trace of unnecessary sugar or necessary ice water. She glared at them, but both were busy giving each other side glances till they reached the dining table and hence missed her death glare. This is insulting! She is hurt now. It’s like they no longer acknowledge her presence. Virat sat in his chair and Sai went on to stand beside Ashwini aunty. Ashwini aunty hit Sai’s head lightly and she smiled in return. She wants to puke but owing to the situation she just settled with rolling her eyes.
Her thoughts were interrupted by Karishma’s voice. She asked Virat about the water. He blinked first and then said he drank it. Mohit asked why he didn’t bring it to the table. Good lord! Someone asked a sensible question. Virat gulped and said that he had drunk as much as he can, so he didn’t bring it to the table. Coming from a topper, that was an idiotic answer but still, all the elders in the family nodded their head as if they understood. This is a weird family. Yes, weirder than her.
Then bua asked whether he had quenched his thirst fully or he need another round. Virat became red all of a sudden. She got panicked. Is he allergic to outside food? Instead of checking what is wrong with him, all started laughing out loud. All means all including the elders. After a few seconds, Virat too joined in what looked like a round-table laughing exercise. She looked around and found only one person who is not laughing – Sai.
Sai is looking at everyone with confusion and pouted displeased. She is glad that at least she found one soul that is not finding this situation funny even if that soul is Sai. She never thought she would see a day where they both will agree on something. Once they were done with their laughing, all started focusing on their food once again and she too ate her newfound favorite dish peacefully. Oh yeah! She forgot about the parathas. She corrected her hair and saree to look presentable. When she was about to call Virat, Kaku got up from her seat. This made everyone look in Kaku’s direction and she sighed that she had to wait few more minutes now to carry out her plan.
Mohit enquired about the food to Kaku and whether she liked the treat. She gave a disapproving nod and said the food is not so tasty. What? All looked at her confused. Karishma insisted that all the dishes were very tasty and Sonali aunty nodded her head in agreement. Kaku shook her head in disagreement. She started complaining that dal is spicy, rice is half-cooked and paratha had no salt. Everyone seemed to be in shock. She smirked. She understood very well that Kaku doesn’t want to agree that the food was tasty and want to taunt Mohit.
They all know that Kaku is lying but still don’t want to get into an argument with Kaku and hence remained silent. But Sai being Sai, started arguing with Kaku on her lie. When Kaku denied lying, she shouted that Paratha had enough salt and tasted wonderful. She is shocked to hear this and her heart started beating fast. How did Sai know the taste of Paneer paratha when she had none yet? She is glad that bua asked the same question to Sai, but she also felt that bua’s weird smile is unwanted in this situation. She noticed that everyone was studying Sai closely. The whole room seemed to be waiting for her to reply.
Sai gulped and blinked rapidly. Her face is full red now. When she started saying something sounding like kitchen, Virat got up suddenly and started dragging her to the upstairs shouting that Sai is ill and need immediate attention. Pakhi got furious. She controlled herself from shouting at him to leave her hand. She had the sudden urge to throw her out of the house but she is helpless. But, she needs to play her game subtly. Hence, decided to just stick with her routine work- guarding their door and check for noises till midnight. But tonight it seems she needs to take a full shift. Virat is becoming bolder day by day which makes her sleepless nights increase in number. She needs rest badly. She prayed to her kuldev Vankarbaba to separate Sai from Virat permanently so that she could get some good night's sleep. Or at least a week of college trip? Is it too much to ask?
