Actually it's pretty patriarchal. Pallavi was under his dominion and now she's the 'property' of another man, which is why Sanki doesn't care. I hate to put it this way but there are men who think like that and Sanki is sounding more and more like that.

To make things more difficult and sad, such people exist in our society. So much cleaning up to do. The present generation is cleaning the mess left behind by previous generations, the mess of fake traditions, namesake sanskaars and a culture which only knows how to oppress and control.

I wrote something similar in my earlier post. Sanki is treating her as an object to be bartered for the sake of his pride. Raghav has everything that he could never have, and it bugs him that Raghav achieved all this without using underhanded tactics. Tall poppy syndrome.

quite true---it's ok if he expresses his jealously towards the couple lekin agar koi actions liya to separate them---I'll send him to rot in hell lol(especially his behaviour in today's episode---what the heck does he even think of himself)
