My far fetched theory

Pragya disappears/meets with accident, and ends up abroad.

Pranbir marry, Rhea so shocked that she goes into Sadma 😛, and is taken abroad for treatment (obvs in the same city as Pragya)

Papaji becomes Bewda; Prachi tries to take care of him.

Pranbir probably live estranged from the Kohli's and Mehras, and are as poor as Papaji
