I have always noticed this about AmVeer relationship, they don't have the AmDheer kind of verbal expressiveness. But their body language talks a lot about their relation. Veer never likes it when A walks away from him. He wants her to walk side by side as an equal. Even during their fake marriage this was very much visible. On the gobar kaand day, after talking to Saroj V expected A to walk with him, but she held Vashma hand and was pretty happy walking with her.V wasn't very happy about it. Then later on Vashmay marriage, V kept observing whether A is with him or not. It is the same thing that repeats here, walking side by side..
