My review today will be rather crisp, and no prizes for guessing why!😀
Actually going forward, lagta hi ke aise hi hone wala hai!😂
The Essa and Rida scenes were done very well...
Essa, true to his integrity of character....settling into his new role...
Loved the tonality of FRIENDSHIP written all over both their scenes...Essa is obviously giving the marriage his best shot!👍
This guy’s strength of character is quite something else!👌
Loved how he told Rida exactly what it was...that look on Essa’s face when he read Navera’s message...Usama just nailed that moment!👏
Rida was obviously happy that she had this gem of a person for her life partner, but that hint of an expression at the end of the scene.....on Rida’s face...was beautifully done....subject to interpretation, really!👍
This may go either way...but, something tells me that Usama will give this marriage his all...Rida’s insecurities (obviously due to her ill health) will get the better of her...the Rida-Navera dynamic, sadly, is likely to change!
This instinct was amplified that much more....thanks, to the presence, of the neighbour lady...who happened to overhear the Essa and Navera conversation...that was for a purpose, IMO...
That same scene had a GLORIOUS moment...while on the one hand, Navera will always remain Essa’s priority...the guy knows exactly where to draw the line...
Navera, sadly, hasn’t realised how at a subconscious level, she depends on Essa so much (actually trusts him more than anything else)...that she has started taking Essa for granted...
Essa, being Essa, would never take to that kindly...not because he would not want to...but since, given the changed dynamic...it would not be the right thing to do...
It was a very brief moment....but, Essa’s “this ain’t right, Ma’am; I ain’t not liking it” said it all!
I have said this several times earlier as well...Essa is an extremely well thought through character written with such subtle nuances...and Usama is doing an EXEMPLARY job of bringing every facet of Essa, beautifully to life!
👏👏👏
And finally, the HIGHLIGHT moment of the episode...
The closing shot of the sequence between Navera and her mother...when the ever so senseless Zahida reprimands her daughter for not having learnt a trick or two from her more “capable” sisters...
Navera’s expression...as she camouflages her pain...in that smile...a smile that clearly is not able to reach her eyes...and yet, as she gets a grip on her emotions...as if, it’s just another day...
The NUANCES that Komal is bringing to Navera are absolutely STUNNING!
👏👏👏
As I conclude, as neither of us know how the future is going to unravel...one thing‘s for sure...
I am so happy, to be honest DIL SE happy that Usama and Komal have got this wonderful opportunity to showcase their talent through the embodiment of Essa and Navera, and their journey, through Mohlat.
Nothing pleases me more than, when genuine talent gets the recognition that they deserve...and these two have clearly given their respective characters, their absolute best!
Today, was a beautiful testament to that...they shone through even in the absence of the classical EssaVera dynamic!
Usama Khan and Komal Aziz Khan, more power to you, guys!❤️
Cheers!

P.S.: In the same vein, have a question for Sami Khan...for an actor so darn good, what on earth got him to agree to play Davar the Duffer? Beats me completely!!
