Chapter 1 - Breaking Trust
Vansh was moving around the room and cooing to the little bundle of joy in his hands. Riansh was born just two weeks back, and though he should be happy, Vansh was not happy.
Riddhima was in coma from the last two weeks, she had brain tumor which he knew nothing about, or maybe she didn't want to tell him because of the way he was behaving with her.
He didn't know whether he will ever be able to take care of Riansh properly. He was for the first time in his life scared. He tried to do everything he wouldn't even let his own family members near his child, Riansh was his and Riddhima's child and he would not share him with anyone.
He so wishes Riddhima was here with him, he so wishes that he had stopped playing and hurting her. He wished she had told him about the tumor. He had wished for so many things but nothing in his life happened according to the way he wanted.
He laid on the bed, and kept Riansh close to him. Riansh was more Riddhima than him, same chubbiness and same smile and same naughty behavior. One of Riddhima's dupatta was in his hand, so that he doesn't forget her smell. He couldn't help but cry thinking how this was all his fault.
The next morning, the doctor had called him and told him Riddhima was awake, he was so happy and excited, he made sure Riansh was fed and cleaned, he even changed his diapers. Sia was looking after him till he takes a bath and gets changed.
He got ready, and taking Riansh with him he went to the hospital, he went straight to her, where Riddhima was awake and looking around confused, the doctor looked at him with a grave face,
R- Doctor, i really don't remember anything. I was going to meet someone, and then i don't remember anything.
V- Riddhima? Do you know who i am?
R- No, it is the first time i am meeting you. Can someone please tell me what is going on?
D- You rest miss Riddhima, i will tell everything later.
Vansh and the doctor left the room, he couldn't believe that she has forgotten everything, he looked at the doctor with a furious look,
V- What is happening? Doctor. 😡😡
D- Mr Raisinghania, i had already warned your wife ki unka tumor ussi jagah hain jahan humari memories stored hoti hain. It is miracle ki unhe kuch bhi yaad hain.
V- But will the memories ever come back?
D- I am afraid i can't say anything about it. It may or maynot return. But we should move on with assumption that it won't.
D- And it is very important that you don't force her to remember anything.
The doctor left them, Riansh started crying probably hungry. He fed him the bottle milk, Vansh was looking at the sleeping figure of Riddhima, how will he handle everything, and how will he even tell her the truth, that not only she was married but she had a child as well.
After sometime he again went inside, Riddhima was feeling guilty and sad, the doctor had told her about her memory and that the man standing in front of him is important to her, what was the relationship he didn't tell her.
Vansh came and stood near Riddhima, Riansh was fussing a lot, it would seem that he sensed his mother was near him, he started crying loudly,
R- Can i hold him? Maybe i can calm him down.
R- What is his name?
Vansh was in a dilemma whether he should tell her the truth, the doctor had already told her not to give any stress so he told her,
V- His name is Ansh.
R- He is so cute. She poked his chubby cheeks and Riddhima smiled. She didn't know why but she felt content hugging the little child like he is a part of her.
R- Mr.Raisinghania, i am sorry.
V- Kis baat ke liye?
R- That i don't remember you or this little guy.
V- It is okay, don't stress yourself. You take rest i will get your discharge papers and then we will go home.
R- Home? You mean hostel na.
V- No, Riddhima you stay with me. You work as my sister's physiotherapist.
R- I am a doctor?
V- Like i said, don't stress i will tell you everything slowly.
Vansh went to take Riansh from Riddhima but he started crying loudly and started fidgeting. Vansh looked awkwardly at Riddhima but then smiled when she said,
R- Let him stay with me. Once he falls asleep maybe then you can take him.
V- okay.
He went outside, called Angre and updated the situation, he asked him to warn the family not to say anything untoward to Riddhima and also to make the guest room ready. He went to thr reception to get the discharge papers ready, all the while thinking how everything changed because of his decision.
Flashback
It was week since Riddhima and Vansh had confessed their feelings for each other. But Riddhima was still restless like it was a calm before the storm. She knew Vansh doesn't forgive easily, yet he wanting to start afresh with her didn't sit well with her.
Combined with this stress was Ahana trying to manipulate her saying that Vansh wanted to kill her. And the incidents that kept happening like her getting locked in the car with a firework inside.
Or someone making it look like she wanted to commit suicide, along with it Vansh's strange aloofness, one minute he was loving and romantic, and the next the same mysterious vibe. She had decided to clear her doubts once and for all, she cannot go on like that.
The next day was Kabir and Ahana's engagement, she was trying to find Vansh every where but she was nowhere to be seen, and then when she found him and wanted to talk to him everyone was stopping her.Then she got a note it said-
'Meet me where we saw the beautiful moon together '.
She understood Vansh was calling her to the pool side, she went there but Vansh was nowhere to be seen, she called out,
R- Vansh, where are you? I need to talk to you but you won't even pick my calls. Where are you?
V- I am right here. I know you are restless to talk to me.
R- Yes, i have a lot of questions but promise me. You will tell the truth.
V- I promise whatever you ask i will tell you the truth.
R- You said Ahana saved you, but on 12 Nov she was in Delhi, so did you lie
V- Yes.
R- Did you bring her here for a mission?
V- Yes.
R- That girl tried to kill me so many times,..but it wasn't her it was you who wanted to kill me?
V- Yes.
Riddhima was stunned, everything Ahana told her was the truth, she was angry that he was playing with her,
R- IF YOU WANTED TO KILL ME, WHY DID YOU SAVE ME ALWAYS. TELL ME.
R- Tell me do you even love me, all the moments we spend in the glasshouse was a lie.? You were playing with me like you did as Vihaan?
R- TELL ME!!!
V(grips her arms)- Bas, bahut bol liya tumne, ab i will ask the question and you will answer, Yes or No.
V- Did you marry me because you loved me?
R- No
V- Was i just a task for you?
R- Yes
V- Did you marry me to destroy me, to find evidence against me, you always believed i killed Ragini?
R- Yes.
V- You were betraying me from the moment you kept your first steps in my house. You have betrayed me in the name of love, and relationship.
R- Vansh, i know i have betrayed you but it was all in the beginning of the relationship, after that i had tried so many times to tell you the truth, but you always stopped me. I even wrote a letter to you in the glasshouse telling you everything.
V- Jhoot, mujhe koi letter nahi mila.
Vansh pulled out a knife and kept at Riddhima's throat,
V- When i woke up alive even after jumping from the cliff, my first thought was why? Then i realized i still need to make you suffer for what you did to me.
V- You trust me now, and look what i have done. This is the true meaning of Dhoka.
Ps- What will happen next? Will Riddhima find out she is married to Vansh and that Riansh is her child. Hope you like the twist i put in it. Next chapter too will have a twist.
