Sai has already been proved a liar in-front of the family during Devyani’s eloping drama so I do t think family will believe Sai doesn’t lie .
But at this point I don't think Virat will manhandle Sai. He is already feeling guilty of ousting Sai.

Supporting Sai would mean he has to accept his past infront of the family and create more awkwardness as they are BIL SIL now . It’s Virat’s and Pakhi’s past so they should the one deciding if they wants to share their past openly . They are not obligated to do so
